This has become my favorite Playboy Playmate of the Year DVD, where we get to see 40 minutes of footage on the lovely Heather Kozar, and then the last 17 minutes on the equally hot Lisa Dergan.

This is a slightly strange Playboy DVD, as it had some of the best quality I've seen in a Image release of a Playboy DVD, but it had a different looking menu system, with animated chapter stops, but no trailers or slide show or bonus features that appear in the majority of the Image or Universal releases.

As for content, POY Heather Kozar appears in 8 video segments here, ranging from 4 to 8 minutes each, along with various interview snippets inbetween each video segment, and a stillframe pictorial in the middle of her videos.

As mentioned by a previous reviewer, there are different themes in each segment. The best one was the car wash sequence where a barber is giving a bad haircut to a male patron as both are distracted by Heather's striptease. There is also a sequence where she dresses as Little Red Riding Hood and flees from the big bad wolf. Another favorite one of mine was a hot weather sequence where she strips down and then has to cool herself off with lots of water.

Two of the 8 segments are identical to the ones that appear in the 2000 Video Calendar.

Playmate Lisa Dergan appears in 4 video segments in the last 17 minutes of the DVD, and I think she is the hotter of the two lovely ladies. Two of her 4 video segments also appear on the 2000 Video Calendar. Her first sequence has her hitting golf balls in a golf outfit, which was very nice. Another segment had her in a shower scene. The best segment, which was unfortunately the shortest one at 2 minutes, had her leaning up against a refrigerator trying to cool down in the hot weather.

This is one of my favorite Playmate of the Year DVDs because of its better-than-average video quality for a Playboy DVD by Image, and the two lovely ladies who are equally beautiful.

This is such a wonderful video! This is one of my favorite vidoes!! I don't know what I would do with out it! Heather Kozar is one of the most beautiful women that I've ever seen in my whole entire life!!! When they picked her to be 1999 Playmate of the year,they sure picked the right Playmate! My first Playboy DVD purchase: an hour long, spends about half of the time basically doing a documentary on the Hefner mansion (do a release on it if it's sooo spectacular), I thought this had some gorgeous women, but was nothing overly exciting to me.

I bought it for the fact that Laura Cover was in it, and was disappointed that she wasn't in a lot of the full scenes, and quickly featured (she even gets snapped in the nose by a pool cue - watch for it).

Unless you are specifically looking for a feature on one of the other ladies, I find this DVD very tame & dragged out in a cheesy fashion. Nice scenery, good mansion tour, but not very steamy.

I own this DVD and must say it is one of the better ones in the last few years. Playbay manages to incorporate some of the women's individual personailites which is a plus. There women are all beautiful and in addition also gives us a small glimpse of the mansion and the lifestyle we can all wish for.

Playmate Pajama Party is by far the greatest playboy DVD you can ever own! It does have a great history of the Playboy Mansion in general but who cares about that! It was a great pleasure watching all the drop dead gorgeous playmates have fun all nude, everywhere in the Playboy Mansion, from the poolside to the game room to the pillow fight at the end. Women like Lisa Dergan, Vanessa Gleason, Laura Cover and the late Elisa Bridges in this flick are guaranteed to turn up the temperature in your living room! I've watched this a 100 times and I am still not tired of it!...it's one of the greatest purchases I have ever made. For all you playboy fans who love eye candy, this is a must have!

Wow, what a mixed decade. There's quite a few clunkers in here -- I'm guessing they were chosen when Hef was still married -- but the later the year gets, the better, with Heather Kozar and the incomparable Karen McDougal being the key highlights. This is a good sampler, but if you already know you'd like the Karen McDougal or Heather Kozar DVDs, just go for them: These segments are just snipped from their full-length productions.

Heather's video is quite good, nearly as good as the 1997 PMOY vid. Both are a cut above the typical Playboy run-of-the-mill blondes.

This is your standard fare Playboy Video Calendar, where each girl gets 4 to 5 minutes of screen time to fill up the 55 minute length. This DVD is the first Video Calendar with the animated menus layouts, along with the photo gallery and preview trailers to other Playboy DVDs.

Each girl has 2 video segments, about 2 minutes each, but unfortunately, they all feel very short in length.

There are several hot Playmates here, like 1999 POY Heather Kozar, 1998 POY Karen McDougal, Deanna Brooks, Layla Roberts, and Kalin Olson. If you're a fan of blondes, this DVD is a good choice, as 8 of the Playmates are blondes (Holly Joan Hart, Maria Luisa Gil, Daphne Duplaix, and Karen McDougal are the non-blondes).

None of the scenes are overly explicit nor shocking, but they do have nice closeups of all of the Playmates. This is a recommended DVD if you're a fan of any of the particular Playmates, but if not, you can probably go with the more recent 2000 and 2001 releases, which are 80+ minutes in length, despite the incorrect time listings.

OK, it's a Video Playmate Calendar so we'll toss out the cinematic, directorial and plot aspects... some hot girls make it a good buy. I echo the other reviewer, Julia Shultz is amazing, but the rest were rather plain. I got the DVD thinking that the two PMOY's would make it worthwhile...but it is the Julia scenes that did it for me.

The real bonus in this DVD is to see 2 playmate of the year in the same DVD, and to see Heather Kozar with long hair is so different to the 2000 edition. Julia Schults stands out for me, along with Deanna Brooks and Layla Roberts, but apart from that, it only average throughout. check out the 2000 Edition, it's longer and better.
