Propaganda (White Knuckle Extreme)
Released in DVD by Image Entertainment (13 November, 2001)
Starring: John DeCesare and C.R. Johnson
Strictly for aficionados of what used to be called "hot dog" skiing, Propaganda amounts to an hourlong display of extreme-ski routines by a who's who of the stars of the sport, set to mostly speed-metal tunes (Motley Crue is about as mainstream as the music gets). There is no plot or narration-- just a lengthy highlights reel of skiers such as J.F. Cusson, J.P. AuClair, Julien Regneir, and Jon Olsson, doing everything from skiing virgin powder down drastic mountainsides to performing loop-the-loops in man-made snow tunnels to doing tricks on stairs, roofs, and railings around various ski lodges. If you're looking for insight into this sport, you're better off watching ESPN. But for strictly visual sensations, this is the DVD for you. DVD features include two music videos and brief interviews with Cusson, AuClair, and Steele Spence. --Marshall Fine

This is a Phat movie and if your a Phat Skier you should buyI have never seen this video but i no its sick because its called Propoganda!
One of the best since "13"Those of you lucky enough to have a copy of "13" will find this to be a good companian video.
The best "extra" is the director's commentary, but the extra segments don't do much for me.
This is purely a new school video as are most Poor Boyz Productions movies. A decent soundtrack done music video style with the song/artist listed at the begining of each segment.
the best ski movie ever!In this movie propaganda you witness some of the worlds best new school skiers in there amzing abilities whether you see there amazing hip jumps or incredible half pipe hits propaganda proves to be the best ski movie this year, and if that isnt enough to persaude you to buy it then hear this, witness JP Auclair complete the first ever 360 degree loop, or jon olsson set the world record with his hip jumps, or JF cussons massive 1/4 pipe hits, and C.R. Johnsons inverted 900 over a 110ft jump possibly the biggest aerial maneuver ever, and watch mike douglas take the new school to the back country, also check out highlights from the world ski invitational and last years x-games. with summer on the way putting a damper on your skiing let propaganda get you back in to the skiing mood.

Disorder III - Freewheel Burning (White Knuckle Extreme)
Released in DVD by Image Entertainment (26 November, 2002)

Best biking movie ever! This movie is off the hook! It is amazing in every aspect. The riders are awsome and some of the jumps and drops are unbeleivable. The music is also very good and fits in extremely well. This movie is all freeriding, downhill racing, and dirt jumping but is also has Jeff Lenosky doing some crazy street riding. It is a definite buy. Good Luck Riding.
A Kick ass movie!!I liked this film alot, it really shows how smoth Wade Simmons is.

PLA: Extreme Sports & Music

Finally action sports DVD's step into the futureI've become somewhat of a DVD junkie over the last year, and the main thing that bothers me is the slew of DVD's that do not take advantage of the cool features that DVD's can provide. The picture and sound quality are great, but I want to see more interactivity!! Well, this DVD delivers on that. It's got sick Skate, Surf, BMX & Moto footage, but the really cool part is the menus. You can of course watch the thing start to finish, but you can also pick the music, then pick what sport you want to watch over the music. And all the songs have different footage to choose from, so it endures multiple views. Let's see more of this please!!!
Cant wait till the next one comes outMe and my friends bagged on it at first but after we found out how the different angles worked we were fighting over the remote control.
alot of fun.....
When does the next one come out?

Disorder II - Fat Tire Fury (White Knuckle Extreme)
Released in DVD by Image Entertainment (13 November, 2001)
Starring: White Knuckle Extreme
This frenetically paced tribute to freestyle mountain biking follows hotshot riders in glamorous locations as they show off their best tricks for the cameras, which are frequently shooting from helicopters. A segment aptly titled "Hell Track" follows two riders as they hurtle down an absurdly steep and high wooden ramp and proceed to rocket across dirt humps, more wooden ramps, and various other gnarly obstacles assembled in the California desert. Throbbing music and plenty of slo-mo daredevil tricks showcase the action appropriately. Other segments shot in Morocco, New York City, British Columbia, and Utah follow riders at breakneck speeds as they defy gravity (and common sense) on zigzag courses and mountain jumps, and even perform some urban BMX style tricks. There's a lot of variety (including a unicycle trick segment) and the camera work is uniformly excellent, so this production holds up as a great look at some of the wildest action on spoked wheels. --Robert J. McNamara

New World Disorder 2New World Disorder 2 has a good soundtrack, and has obviously evolved a lot from New world disorder 1. It has a lot of crazy stunts, and features bender's Crazy Drops, and has kris holm's crazy Unicycling. Also, If you buy the DVD (which I reccomend) it has great extras like the making of hell Track California, and unizaba. Unizaba is a film about 10 min. long featuring Kris holm and another unicycler doing crazy things. Overall I'd rate this a 5- Since it's a greatmovie, barely lacking any thing. the one thing I didn't like about it is it's length. about 45 min. I'd reccomend this and the whole New world disorder collection to get, but if your only gonna get one. Get New World Disorder 2, then Plan on getting New world Disorder 3 later. I highly reccomend these Free-ride based films
Awesome!!!Bender is sick! Kris Holm is sick! In fact they're all sick! Yeeeehaaaa! After watching this DVD all you wanna do is grab your bike and give hell! The footage is awesome, even better then NWD Part I (hard to imagine). Forget Kranked - this is the real thing! And by the way: you can never have to much travel! Let's go for a ride!
Awesome RidingThe video takes the prize for most insanely awesome freeride video of the year. A must have for all riders. Kris Holm is back, the crazy unicyclist, and crazier than ever. Awesome, awesome video!

Laird (White Knuckle Extreme)
Released in DVD by Image Entertainment (04 June, 2002)
He stands 6-foot-5, with long golden hair--and he still looks minuscule when photographed against the backdrop of the mammoth waves in this outstanding surfing documentary. Laird Hamilton travels to Hawaii and Tahiti in search of the biggest waves anyone has ever tried to ride. Skimming across the side of a wall of water, he's harnessing both gravity and the power of the wave in a death-defying balancing act. There is something almost therapeutic about watching the endless slow-motion images of Hamilton riding one wave after another, meticulously photographed to capture both the pounding force of the water and Hamilton's daring ability to tame it. The footage is set to a contemporary score, featuring musical acts as diverse as Moby, Ben Harper, and Bender as the backdrop for Hamilton's startling feats. --Marshall Fine

You've got to see it at least once -Not a relaxing flick AT ALL. You will be on the edge of your seat biting your lip the whole time, while Laird repeatedly defies death. Not one I would watch daily - but definitely some of the most amazing big wave footage I've ever seen!
Laird could Ride Perfect Storm Waves.I've been surfing since 1961. I've seen the Best Out there. And Fortunately for me, some of these Surfers I have made special Fins for.
Mavs bunch, North Shore. But after a friend went to Hawaii and watched first hand Laird ripping upside down 360's in the Tube.
I was awestruck at his stories. The man is a surf muscle as we called Jeff Hakman in the 70's. The waves in this movie are the
star. And Laird the Director. Tea'hupoo blew my mind as did
Craig Camfield's at Inland Surf who lent me the movie. Can you
imagine getting a wave lip as thick as a Chevy Suburban Dump
on you? Laird deserves All the accolades. Figgy

WOWI gave this DVD to a friend who's 4 teenage Boston boys have just started surfing (world class downhill skiers, all). Blew the 4 of them, their dad and MOM out to the edge of their seats.
I love watching this DVD on airplanes, its the best crowd pleaser you'll ever get, everyone wants to watch it. Great photography, colors, waves and story. Nice work Laird!

Further (Extreme Skiing)
Released in DVD by Redline Entertainment -- Red - (22 May, 2001)
Starring: Micah Black, Jeremy Nobis, and Jeremy Jones
Average review score:

Starts great, then faltersThe Jeremy Nobis sequence at the begining of this movie gets your hopes up but a mediocre soundtrack and a few annoying voice overs put this at the bottom of my list when looking over my ski movie collection. (13, Global Storming, Ski Movie, High Society, and Propaganda)
A must rent, but definitely not a must buy...
Should be a 5 starWith a movie that opens with Nobis straightlining a mounton up in Alaska and closing with Candide doing a 120 ft. gap, with 2 JH sections, Tanner Hall doing a huge rail off a huge cliff in Red Lodge, Europe trips, Nick Mercon, Shannon Schadd, Micah Black, and so many other pluses like the soundtrack, the only reason I didnt give it a 5 because there is about 10 minutes of snowboarding in it.
just another movieIm still looking for THE ski movie. This one was really just another extreme skiing movie. The extras on the dvd are pretty nice. All round good but not exceptional.

To' - Day of Days (White Knuckle Extreme)
Released in DVD by Image Entertainment (22 April, 2003)
Starring: Laird Hamilton
Average review score:

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!I feel so ripped off. I think the name should have been "Two" because your paying $2 for every minute of film. The movie itself was honestly about twenty minutes long and don't let them fool you with the side movies. EVERY SINGLE ONE was the same audio and video just edited in different ways(video montage, music video, bla bla) Also, the whole DVD focused on "two" waves which weren't even that big; like 30 feet. Bigger than I could ever handle but I would've rather seen the 70 foot waves that Laird talks about and that can be seen in other videos. Oh wait, they showed one for "two" seconds. The cinematography was good and Laird is a legend, but I was extremely disappointed in this DVD and you will be "two" if you're hoping to see some giant waves.
TO' Day of DaysTO' Day of Days is the blow by blow account of this history making day in the sport of surfing. Not only was the worlds greatest big wave surfer on hand to ride the "heaviest wave ever ridden" (Surfer Mag), the worlds greatest surfing cinematographer was there to record what happened. Jack McCoy's documentary is unlike Laird's personal DVD LAIRD (of which footage from this day is included). TO' is the complete story of this epic surfing trip. The film follows Lairds first trip to Tahiti with his tow surfing, longboarding, foil surfing, the warm up, and concludes with the Day of Days. I personally showed this program around Australia as a Surfrider fundraiser to hundreds of surfers and non surfers alike who were in awe of Lairds amazing feat and McCoy's storytelling. You can show this to anyone and they will be rivited. On top of that the Special Features section has another 50 minutes of extra material. By far the most awsome footage of Laird doing what he does in found in the short film in this section called "The Morning Glass". The underwater bodysurfing sequence is some of the most amazing surfing footage ever taken. Along with the other bonus shorts "Aftershock", interviews with Laird and DD and a Midnight Oil track, this DVD is a must for anyone who can appreciate extreme sport's and the ocean.
