Look sharp, folks. Pete Rose: Playing to Win presents a living baseball legend demonstrating the proper way to tag a base (with the inside of your left foot), how to take off on a run from first (always think third!), how to field from any position (always anticipate bad hops), and what to do when you find a bat that suits you perfectly (never let it out of your sight). Rose, a great player and manager who holds multiple all-time records, made this video to provide direct instruction to kids looking for a baseball scholarship or a professional contract, but it's the Little League dads out there whom Rose addresses more often than not. The effect is both charming and engrossing. Whatever Rose's past personal problems, his perspective (Rose played five different positions) on baseball's nuts and bolts, and the clarity with which he teaches, is solid gold. --Tom Keogh
