Super Bowl I - X
At last those awesome Super Bowl highlight films produced by NFL Films are making it to DVD. I used to watch these every year on ESPN around Super Bowl time. When DVD first came on the scene I kept saying time and again that these Super Bowl highlights should be released on DVD. You know, I would have been happy with simple releases of the highlight films, maybe four per disc, in standard keepcases. Instead, they did it even better by producing a fine collector's edition set of the first ten highlight films, complete and unedited (YES!), in an attractive box and with tons of extra goodies. There are half-hour long programs preceeding each highlight film that covers the season leading up to that Super Bowl, plus several featurettes spotlighting teams, players and coaches. You even get a replica Super Bowl ticket inside the packaging! Very nice touch. Kudos to NFL Films and Warner Home Video for this five-star collection. Now bring on SUPER BOWL XI - XX!

Every football fan should have this...
I've been an NFL Films aficionado since the late 70's, when I was just a little kid. I have amassed a large library of their fine work, and I bought this DVD set the day it came out. I expected a lot, but I GOT MORE!!! This is an amazing set. Not only do you get remastered and unedited versions of the classic highlights of the first 10 Super Bowls, there's also a 30-minute recap of each season from 1966-1975. Also lots of bonus features on Bradshaw, Landry, Stram, etc. Every football fan who is a fan of NFL Films or the sport's history should put this at the top of their X-mas list!!!

Well Worth the Wait!!!
First of all, let me start by saying I have been purchasing NFL Films videos since 1980, on Beta no less!! I have seen hundreds of their productions, but NEVER have they looked or sounded better!!!
Since the advent of DVD, I have been waiting for Steve Sabol(president of NFL Films) to do his products justice. The long wait was worth it. I have seen these Super Bowl highlight films many times, but it was like seeing them again for the first time. The packaging, menus, extras are faultless! Even the menus have full length music tracks!! And there are some wonderful surprises, too!!! All, or least most, look as if they have been restored. In some cases, the color and clarity is striking!!
In short, I can't iamgine anything better for this particular subject. Now, if Mr. Sabol would release team highlights (the original ones) on DVD and maybe a few CDs of that wonderful NFL Films music, all would be right in this man's football world!!

Good for kids
This is an exciting movie that does not contain all of the adult only stuff that most "off road" movies have. My kids love it.

The Wonder Boy lives up to his image.
Having seen Travis Pastrana actually perform live at the X-Games in Philly, I wasn't sure if his movie could live up to a live performance. Boy was I wrong. This movie is probably the best motocross video I have ever seen. Because, you don't just see him doing tricks and acting stupid, you actually see him and his life. However, the tricks that he performs are astonishing. This kid is an amazing rider. I have seen him doing freestyle tricks and racing in Las Vegas of this year. All I have to say is that if you like motocross, you have to get this or give it as a present. It's well worth it. 199 will live on forever!

Travis Pastrana- Teenage Prodigy
This video gives a great behind the helmet look in Pastrana's racing/freestyle career. It incorperates racing footage of Travis's first races back in his Loretta Lynn days, gnarley tricks, such as the recliner and the can-can, and an inside look at his family. This is a great video for avid racing fans or for the newcomers to the sport. It was put together very well with great music, awesome footage from Travis's life, and quite a few hilarious moments. I loved this video and I am sure you will too.

Love the DVD format!
I had this title on video and it was one of the first DVDs I bought after getting my player for christmas. Not only is the DVD picture clearer and sharper, the audio quality is better than on the tape as well.

But the best part is the way the menu lets you jump around without spending time searching by way of fast forward or rewind. If you're reviewing for a test or need a quick refresher of the forms, you can work on #4 then jump right to #2 or #8 without having to keep stopping and checking for the form you need, like you would with a tape. I also liked the bonus footage of the applications. While we don't practice these at my school, it's nice to know what the movements are supposed to be for. A great DVD - I definitely recommend to anyone doing WTF style TKD.

Super Learning Aid
I got my black belt in ITF style taekwondo and have recently moved to a WTF style. I bought this DVD to learn the WTF forms to test for black belt at my new school and in less than four months, I'm up to red belt level. This is a great learning tool. I can practice at home without bothering my instrutor or the upper belts at my new school. Sang H. Kim's performance is very crisp and his instruction is detailed and goes beyond just do this move then do that move. He explains the little things that will help you make your performance above average. My instructor has complimented me more than once on my forms and I credit this DVD with helping me perfect the little things as well as the sequence of the movements.

an oustanding reference tool
The DVD is an awesome format for martial arts instructional tapes and this DVD makes full use of the format's advantages. Each form is shown from side and front, with slow motion and step by step instructional views. The best part is, you can use the menu to go directly to the poomse you're working on without having to fast forward like you would on a tape. There is one minor production glitch - the first poomse, Taegeuk Il Jang has Taeguek Ee Jang shown in the follow along view. This shouldn't affect your use of the DVD however, because you can just as easily follow along with the instructional view, which is the same view but with a step by step instructional voice over. Overall, the best poomse reference out there, and I've seen quite a few!

Realworld action gets your blood going every which way
These folks know how to do an outdoor sport movie. Actually, they're the ONLY folks who do aerobic outdoor action vid and I'm glad they do!

This is all nature action all the time. With freely applied rowdy music. (The director's track says one of the main tunes was picked coz his little kid wanted it. Now that's a good Canadian-style reason!)

This new flick follows a trajectory that outdoor people of so many stripes know and love and which no one else has covered before: it shows what we do all year 'round. Simple. Instant variety. Most people are generalists, no? So show it all...and this movie does.

Anyway, the movie starts as good as I could ask with retro footage of XC people on long old wood skis and ole leather boots...then some freak in wool whips by doing a fool new skate move and the others join in. Fun follows as people explore what you can do with big boards. Knickers and rock'n'roll in full deployment.

It never lets up. You get yer skiing. Then a showdown between rock-runnin fools and mtbike champs on singletrack. Then bike racing, inline racing, rollerski racing, triathloning, adventure racing...clapskating with Pilot-skates. LAND SAKES!

The thing is that none of it is what I'd call rad or extreme. There's air, but it's casual XC air that you can throw anywhere. People are bouncing here and there as they ski, but there's no special equipment. It's a movie about real life and fairly normal people, as action-movies go. It's truly just showing what an action outdoors person does all year. OK, these people are pros, and they have a great soundtrack, but many are MASTERS. They have KIDS. It's an accessible, friendly world of color. No attitude need apply.

They film a lot in Gatineau Park by Ottawa. I never knew how huge and rich that park is! Right by town. They have some worldclass XC events there for the whole family. I better visit!

The how-to disk is fine, too, using a lot of the same footage with coaching talk and slow-mo applied to teach all the various skills. Neat!

OK, and there's tons of other stuff included, including a whole other inspirational, instructional multi-media program called the Tao of Skiing that they usually sell separately. Whoa!

Breathtaking skiing
Two DVDs: one, a motivational movie on outdoor sports spun around nordic skiing and two, an awesome instructional disk which takes you from beginner to racer at your own pace. With the DVD technology I can even stop, do frame by frame analysis and zoom in on the best skiers in N.America. You gotta check these suits out and some of the most amazing stunts I have every seen performed on xc race skis. Music by Sum 41, Roch Voisine , Dean Batstone and Drastik are complemented by slick narration, multiple audio tracks and subtitles and DVD-ROM features that kept me playing past my bed time. This is the wholly professonal production that Nordic skiing needs... just don't forget to go skiing.

Exquisite filmmaking and comprehensive instruction
When one product has all the National Ski associations, clubs and major magazines talking, it's worth checking out. Unlimited Skiing is clearly the most advanced DVD of its kind with exquisite images, exacting technical discriptions and loads of special DVD-ROM features. It has taken me a week and I still haven't reviewed it all, but I like what I am seeing.

1978 World Series - New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

A Great Series&Great Back to Back Champions!
while the Current Yankess are Winners in the Highest Sense of the word these Yankees were also Winners&also had that Swagger to boast as well.they dropped the first two games in LA&they went on to Win the Next 4.Reggie Jackson,Bucky Dent&of course at the Hot Corner Graig Nettles came through big time holding it down over at thrid base.Billy Martin was Cool&of course George Steinbrenner.Thurman Munson did His thing as well.Ron Guidry was unstoppable that year.Props to that RUn&Era of Yankees.

The Yankees defeat the Dodgers for back-to-back titles
The 1978 World Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers was the tenth between the two storied franchises and the first series rematch since the Yankees and Milwaukee Braves took turns defeating each other in 1957 and 1958. The defending World Champion Yankees won their second title in a row in their third consecutive Fall Classic appearance, but dug themselves out of a hole to do so, dropping the first two games at Chez Ravine Stadium before winning four straight. Winning by making a come back was poetic justice in 1978 the Yankees had to over come a 14-game deficit in the American League East (not to mention the firing of manager Billy Martin who was then replaced by Bob Lemon) and then beat the Boston Red Sox on Bucky Dent's home run over the Green Monster in Fenway Park before defeating the Kansas City Royals for the third straight season in the American League Playoffs.

In Los Angeles the Yankees were bombed 11-5 in Game 1, with Davey Lopes hitting a pair of homeruns for the Dodgers, and then lost 4-3 in Game 2 with Ron Cey driving in all the runs for L.A. Because he pitched the playoff came in Boston, Yankee ace Ron Guidry, who sent 25-3 in the regular season, was not available to pitch until Game 3, at which point he beat Don Sutton 5-1. Reggie Smith's homer gave the Dodgers a 3-0 lead in Game 4, but the Yankees came back to win in 10 innings to even the series. Game 5 saw Yankee catcher Thurman Munson drive in five runs on the way to a 12-2 romp. Back in Los Angeles Catfish Hunter and Goose Gossage combined in the clinching 7-2 victory for another six game victory over the Dodgers. However, three years later the Los Angeles Dodgers would return the favor, dropping the first two games to the Yankees in New York and then winning four straight to earn Tommy Lasorda his first World Championship.

Bucky Dent, who batted .417 on 10 hits and had 7 RBIs, was named MVP while his keystone partner, reserve infielder Brian Doyle, led all batters with a .438 average, as the bottom of the batting order came through for the Yankees making the homer run heroic of Reggie Jackson from the previous World Series unnecessary. This color video runs about 45 minutes has all of the highlights of the 1978 season and World Series and a minimal number of shots of George Steinbrenner, making it a nice collection of memories for Yankee fans.

Kids love it
Taking bunch of over excited kids to soccer practice is always a challenge. I started playing "All the right moves" in the car and it got them engaged from start. They are pumped up when they reach the field and they try to practice the routines at home. Producers have done good job at keeping kids engaged while showing them the techniques.

My Kids Love it!
We got this DVD a couple months back, and my kids have watched it dozens of times. They practice the moves in front of the TV, then they go in the yard and prctice on each other for hours on end. Great Job guys!

Freestyle Gaglore
First off, if you're not into freestyle snowboarding, stop reading. On the other hand, if you think some guy doing a CAB360 over a road is pretty cool, this is your cup of adrenaline.

From Todd Richards to Mickey LeBlanc, everyone in this video spents very little time on the snow and a lot of time in the air or on a rail (or two). We're not talking simple trick like straight air with a grab; think Rodeo, CAB, BS720, 50/50 on a tree branch, handrails, etc. Guys go BIG with a capital B, I, and G. This is not really a snowboard video as much as it is a stunt video involving snowboards. Jackie Chan would pay to see stuff like this.

And lastly, a good trick needs a good film crew to capture it. And Whitey is one of the best at doing that. Bottom line, Destroyer will fill up the hungriest freestyle enthusiast.

Great snowboarding dvd
This DVD is nasty with so many great snowboarders like mikey leblanc, gigi ruf, and chad ottestrom. This DVD also has the previous kingpin productions movie "The Revival" It pretty much the same snowboarders as "Destroyer" and just as much action. Buy this DVD if you enjoy watching some sick snowboarding.

Best biking movie ever!
This movie is off the hook! It is amazing in every aspect. The riders are awsome and some of the jumps and drops are unbeleivable. The music is also very good and fits in extremely well. This movie is all freeriding, downhill racing, and dirt jumping but is also has Jeff Lenosky doing some crazy street riding. It is a definite buy. Good Luck Riding.

A Kick ass movie!!
I liked this film alot, it really shows how smoth Wade Simmons is.
It has lots of footage from the redbull rampage, and all the best Riders are in it.
Robbie Bourdon
Wade Simmons
Dave Watson
Cedric Gracia
Kyle Strait
Richie Schley
and many more...

If your into Freeride, get this film and enjoy it.

Fox Racing Presents Greatest Hits, Vol. 1
Released in DVD by Redline Entertainment -- Red - (23 October, 2001)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Ricky Carmichael and Travis Pastrana
This fast-paced compilation of film clips illustrates in surprisingly picturesque ways the startling tricks some of the best motorcycle riders in the world can perform while sailing through space on the back of a dirt bike. After kicking off with some vintage motocross films (perfectly complemented by Arlo Guthrie singing "The Motorcycle Song"), the action (and soundtrack) throttles forward to the modern era's artful and risky freestyle motocross. Riders make impossibly high jumps on race courses, mountain trails, and desert hillsides. The cinematography is generally quite striking, with camera angles chosen to showcase expert riding techniques as well as some spectacular scenery, and the soundtrack of thrashing rock and rap meshes well with the visuals. Wisely, the main feature has no narration (which would have ruined the general effect), but a bonus feature of interviews with the riders provides some insight into their dangerous devotion to showing off in midair. --Robert J. Thrill Ride
This DVD rates #1 w/ our kids, (ages 9 & 12) it's played more than any other DVD in the car - & it's still not enough; they put it on in the house as soon as we get home (and that's after a full day of riding motocross!) Even my husband prefers to sit in the back w/ the kids & watch this DVD! Sound track isn't for delicate ears, but then what would you expect? They wear their headsets - & all I hear is "oooh! geez! & did you see that?!" Definitely worth the entertainment value.

WOW WOW WOW !!!!
WOW! What a video! The cinematography is fantastic and the music is just right for the video. I gave this to my 6-year-old son and he loves it! Nothing is scary but the movie is *intense*. These guys do amazing stunts on their bikes. Only one thing turned me off...one of the riders is shown in close up taking a dip of smokeless tobacco. Besides that, I highly recommend this DVD. It is entertaining and amazing to watch.
