Californian ZenThis is a quiter ocean dvd than Californian Dreams but is still relaxing. This dvd features many of the sites on Californian dreams but the waves are more gental and lapping. There is one night sean with waves lapping under the moonlights reflection which I enjoyed. Also on Day 5 you see several light houses. On one view you see a lighthouse in the distance over looking the ocean, but if you look closely enough you can see a intermentent light beam as it turns. It's a little white bright light that goes on and off but it's hard to see. Also it's possible there might be a foghorn on day 5 or 6.I thought I heard one but it was very distant and hard to here if I did.If that's what it was it wasn't as loud as the one in Californian Dreams. Also on Californian zen is a nice group of gulls scattered thruout but not as numourous as in Californian Dreams. The ocean seems like it's in the background on zen but it is still relaxing and is worth adding to your dvd collection. If you have Hawaiian dreams,Californian dreams and Californian zen you can pop one in each day and it will seem like a three day vacation.I highely recommend all three of these dvds for your collection.I hope the producer will make one of the Atlantic.Preferely the Southeast coast such as Savannah GA or Jekell Island GA.
Great for Meditation! What a wonderful way to clear your mind sitting quietly on a beach. The sounds of the surf alone will help calm you. The sights of incredible sunsets make you realize how beautiful and precious life is. Highly recommended for anyone who meditates or is in search of a quiet place of solitude!
Ultimate stress reducer with immediate results! As a caregiver for my handicap dad, these Waves tapes are our salvation. Powerful real medicine that speaks to the body, mind and spirit. Quick way for mom and me to meditate, relax or escape. It instantly alters our whole enviroment, giving hours of peace. Beautiful beaches and lovely birds make this one of my favorite Wave's videos.

Hawaiian Zen / WAVES: Virtual Vacations for relaxation

Better than valiumThis is an amazing DVD. It's a perfect background for quiet conversation. To say that it is soothing and calming is an understatement. It just takes the edge off the day. There is a moonlit scene that is particularly breathtaking. A few minutes of this DVD is all I need to let go of petty frustrations.
On a big screen tv, I needed to adjust the brightness, contrast, color, tint, and sharpness settings; set the color temperature on warm; and watch it on a full screen setting. The sound quality is acceptable. The DVD would have been even more stunning shot in widescreen format with high definition cameras.
The DVD is divided into 6 days with different views. They put a little blerb at the end of each "day" that contains two trademarks and a web address. There are six days, so it shows this six times throughout. It hints of advertisement and I found it a little disruptive in the middle of an otherwise awesome DVD. Even so, I recommend it as a way to relax any time of the day.
Soooooooooo niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiceJust as relaxing as you'd think it would be. I bought this for my mom, who loves just sitting and staring at the waves when we go to the beach, and she enjoyed it very much. The scenery is gorgeous, and switches to show four different beaches.
Heals the Mind and Carries the Soul! This DVD is highly addictive! Whether trying to wind down at the end of the day, need help falling asleep, want to do some deep breathing or stretching excercises or you are simply folding laundry, you'll want the soothing sounds of the ocean and tropical breeze with you! Your virtual vacation starts with a comfortable beach side cove on the first day and changes scenery to other, more robust landscapes of waterfalls and coastline. Each scene fades in and out slowly and soothingly...never any startling voice overs or music. Excellent video footage and amazing audio makes this virtual vacation seem so real!! I'm ordering another Wave vacation today!

Very Calming and HypnoticThe Waves Virtual Vacation series is perfect for anyone who has spent or always wanted to have spent time in these environments, re-living the sound of the crashing surf, the distant fog horns, the local wildlife, and the grandeur of the sunrise and sunset. There is something very calming and hypnotic about these digital diversions -- a great escape from work, the family, and the daily stressors and anxieties of life. Whether you're meditating, having trouble falling asleep, or just closing your eyes to relax, you'll find yourself carried away to another time and place just long enough to make a difference.
Awesome DVD, sunsets breathtakingAwesome DVD, sunsets breathtaking, magnificent vistas, extremely relaxing A+++ Just like being on the beach, and very serene... Now, I've got a dose of California until I go back again! Love the DVD!! Thanks.
Great and relaxingCalifornia Dreams captures the essence of the coast that we love to visit on weekends when we need to get away from the busy metropolitan area that we live in. It is great to have available a meditative tape that we can watch at the end of a hectic day. We enjoy it so much so that we are sending it out to our business associates and other friends as gifts -- just the right thing to say, thinking of you and wishing you peace and quiet in these troubled times. This filmmaker has done a superlative job.

Not what you would expectI was very unsatisfied with this DVD. The picture quality is very bad and the sound really does not even come close to the real deal. I have purcahsed other relaxation DVDs and this one is by far the worst. I wouldn't recomend wasting your money on this one.
My honeymoon all over again! The pictures are amazing - great way to get away from stress. Other videos to check out - Captain Jon Explores the Ocean (the music video) and The Living Sea -- both available on Amazon.com
Almost as good as being there!I love this video! Unlike so many others, this one doesn't show scenery with music or narration, just the natural sounds of the areas. Incredibly relaxing, visually beautiful; it's perfect for those times when I feel the desire to visit Hawaii but can't just up and go. This is not a tourism video, and anyone who buys it for that reason probably won't care for it. I have already ordered several more videos from the company, and am looking forward to seeing the rest of their work.

The Real World - Exotic Vacations
Released in DVD by Paramount Home Video (24 September, 2002)

This is the true story of an average DVDThis DVD was ok because unlike "Decade of Bloopers" there was alot of new footage shown. It shows vacation clips from the Miami, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, New Orleans, Back To New York seasons as well as the Chicago season's unseen vactaion to Boston (they were supposed to go to Europe but didn't due to 9/11). The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because unlike the "You Never Saw" series this video only offers a few hillarious moments and isn't something I'd watch more than once. I would say it is better than "Greatest Fights" or "Decade of Bloopers". I say just rent it or get a friend to buy it and borrow theirs.
For Fans Only!I have loved the Real World ever since I saw the Boston series a while back. Now the Exotic Vacations has arrived and just bought it. And it's great. You get to see almost every trip the Real World casts have been on and never seen footage. Buy it!
