Las Vegas and all its gloryWhether it is the Neon Oasis, The City of Sin, The City That Never Sleeps or whatever name has been attributed to it, Las Vegas is truly a magical and wondrous place that has grabbed the imagination and carefree attitudes of millions of people.
This DVD leaves almost nothing to the imagination and all the stops have been pulled out to give you the complete history of how it all came to be. You are treated with historical facts of how Indians first came to the Nevada ranges and tamed the land following with the Mormons who migrated in and set about to establish the early years in the area.
Without missing a beat, we then find out how the Mafia moved in and started to build casino's and created a dynasty to last for many years to come. As time goes on, you will be treated to interviews with many big name entertainers and entepreneurs who have shaped the city into what it is today. These would include but not limited to, Howard Hughes, Steve Wynn, Wayne Newton, Debbie Reynolds, Alan King and a host of others.
You will get to visit all the mega-resorts with all their glamour and hype and majesty and be amazed at just how much there really is to see and experience in this city without limits. This is a very satisfying 2 disc DVD documentary at an excellent price and is most likely the best look at Las Vegas you will ever see. Highly recommended to all.

THE REAL BRUCE LEE
THE MOVIE THAT INSPIRED

Creepy CoolDon't plan on eating meat or sleeping for a while.
There are CANNIBALS among us...

The Real 8 MileThis movie is a must see for anyone who liked 8 mile. This would be a bigger hit, if 8 mile wouldn't have came out at the same time. Unlike 8 mile it doesn't sugar coat the way life is on the street, and doesn't rely on big names stars to help promote the film. There are a few known actors in the movie but for half of the actors, this is their first time in front of the camera.
The director is amazing in her camera work and her story line. She struggled hard to make sure there wasn't a single swear word in the entire movie, a feat never heard of these days. I look forward to seeing more of her films in the future and wish her luck on all her ventures.

Excellent T.V. Series

My Favorite 80s Movie
Hidden TreasureJim Belushi (the tough, callous super agent) and John Ritter (a regular family man who's "average, maybe a little less") are perfect foils even as they slowly exchange personas: Belushi finding his more sensitive side while Ritter becomes a more assertive, resourceful, take charge 'kinda guy.
Real Men shares much in common with another of the funniest films ever made: The In-Laws. It's virtually the same premise: a buddy film about a regular guy dragged kicking and screaming into the covert, wacky world of espionage.
Both films hilariously turn the ridiculous into the sublime as the viewer first sees the story from the viewpoint of the "regular joe" whose life is turned upside down while he tries to remain calm. Gradually though, you come to accept the sincereity of Belushi's character (Nick Pirandello) and suspend disbelief at the preposterous situations because they're set up so well (like Soviet agents quitting in the middle of a gunfight because they're going to lunch - no incentives like we have in the free world.)
Well written with a great, bouncy score that compliments the film perfectly.
Finally starting to be taken seriously after some second looks and a new and growing appreciative audience.
Make way for "Real Men."I am not about to tell all the details, as that is the movie, however Dyanne Thorne plays "Dad.' Now where have we seen her before?
