Tighter Assets:2 Volume Gift Set

Fun Workout!
The 2 Tighter Assets workout are innovative and fun. The Cardio Blast workout incorporates aerobic moves that are not hard to follow. It contains several sections and the moves are not repetitive. It is over before you know it. I prefer the Weight Loss workout which includes more stregth training.
There is one negative about these DVDs -- it takes about 1-2 min to go over the introduction. I was not able to fast forward to start the workout right away. For people who want to do both workouts at the same setting, you will need to wait for the introduction section on your second workout.

Works your Core
This 2 volume set is great for those who really want to focus on your core and strengthening your lower back by using your core. I have been a Tamilee fan for 12 years, and as in the past, has challenged me again.

The first DVD, Cardio Blast (30 minutes) requires alot of core movements and balance. You will also need a lot of room so that you can "Cardio Blast" some of the moves. It definetly takes several attempts to get some of the moves down, however it does get your heart pumping and you are sweating by the end. A bonus feature on this DVD is a 10 minute bun workout that incorporates lunges and squats while utilizing your core. Very good for those who don't have time for the 30 minute cardio or her 40 minute buns of steel tapes.

The Second DVD, the weight loss (30 Minutes) is a killer. I viewed the dvd first before doing the exercises and thought it was going to be easy. HA! This again incorporates a lot of core, balancing and also weights. I have a step and follow her but you can do the exercises on the floor. She starts on one leg focusing on that leg for about 12 someodd minutes before you go into 2 sets of free weights. Then you switch and do the other leg, followed by 2 more sets, then finish with some very effective abs. Let me tell you by the time you are done with the leg portion, your leg is quivering from the slow tap up, tap downs and flying leg holds (don't do this then try to do lower body yoga moves, it kills your thighs). This DVD has a 10 minute ab section that is great. You use a ton of obliques and it varies from you standard crunch.

Both DVDs have the nutrition plan and give good advice. Tamilee is informative without being annoying. The only downside is that it might be a little frustrating for those lacking balance. But after serveral tries it does get better.

Not for beginners
This is an escellent DVD for people seriuos about their fitness. Excellent for intermediates and advanced. Not for beginners Though. The only star she lost becasue she does not give enough instructions and is kind of hard to get right the first few times.
ALthough 30 minutes, but you will break a respectable sweat.

Great Workout!
When I did this workout for the first time, I was really feeling it the next day...especially in my obliques, buns and thighs. I have this on DVD, which includes her 10 min. ab workout as a bonus. Tamilee proves that you can get a great workout in just 30 minutes, but it is mostly lower body. So, I do her "I Want Those Arms" workout (included on the "I Want That Body" DVD) first, to work my arms and shoulders and serve as a warmup, since this workout has no warmup. I am an intermediate/advanced exerciser, and I use a 6-inch step. I rotate this workout with Tamilee's Tighter Assets Cardio Blast, Tamilee's I Want That Body and The Firm (the latest ones), all of which I highly recommend.

I love this one!
I just bought this dvd and it has a ton of cool features and of course is a GREAT workout. I actually like this one better than tighter assets-cardio blast although both are a good workout. I would recommend this dvd to anyone who wants to get in shape and tone up!

I love this tape!
A year ago, I couldn't even find my abs and butt was almost hitting the floor. I am 40 years old and couldn't stand the fact I was getting "old". Now I wear midriff tops and short skirts all thanks to Tamilee. If you are a true beginner (like I was) this tape is difficult, but as Tamilee says "stick with it, it only gets easier". I saw results after three weeks. I alternate this tape with a stretching ballet workout four times a week and even after a year I am not tired of either one. Tamilee is not the yak-yak type, but gives good solid instruction. This is not a cardio-burn workout, but good toning and strength.

This is the only sculpting DVD you need...
There is a bunch of CRAP out in the market claiming results, etc. and I was skeptical to purchase this DVD. So, I relied on the reviews of amazon to convince me and YES I AM CONVINCED. If you use this DVD 2-3 times a week, rotating with a cardio workout YOU WILL SEE RESULTS. I use this DVD and go back and forth from program 1 and 2 at least 4 times a week and have not been disappointed. I use the arms and abs workout after my cardio. If you stick with it you will see results, but you have to stick with it. Tamilee is straight to the point and explains each workout and the muscle groups. I do not use the buns portion of this workout, since I run and alternate using the Taebo workouts, so this group is well addressed. But overall, I was not disappointed and greatly pleased. Her program 2 on abs and arms are a killer, but boy do you see results!!!!

Great jumpstart for a diet and exercise plan
One of the best exercise videos I've run across. In spite of their brevity the workouts are highly effective, without annoying chatter or overly loud music. It helped me break through a weight-loss plateau and I saw results (better muscle tone) very quickly. Highly recommended.

Pleasant Stretches in a Natural Setting
Voice: Pleasant and Relaxing
Setting: Natural
Level: Beginner
Music: Hardly noticeable

If you are already very flexible, you might be disappointed because this video
is really for those who have just entered the realm of stretching.

If you are looking for a relaxing escape that has a nice flow and is artistically appealing, this might be for you.

Peace and Relaxation.

Great, a must have!
I do this DVD everyday after my cardio workout and I love it. The Total Body Stretch section is basic stretches (some I didn't know of and some everyone knows) put in 3 fluid variations (standing, sitting, floor) my favorites are the standing and floor. The Biginners Stretch for Flexibility section is 30min stretching that is a little more hard than the 3 10min Total Body Stretches, so I would suggest doing the 10min ones for a week or two and then doing the 30min one for variation. I don't like Yoga and this DVD is a wonderful alternative. Stretching is an important part of any workout just as Cardio and Strength Training are.

Just like going to Hawaii for 10 minutes!
I am 41, and very out-of-shape. This is terrific for restoring flexibility so that I can do the things I want to do. The setting is restorative and inspiring. I really do feel more relaxed and peaceful after just 10 minutes. I love to do this as a cool-down after bellydancing.

Anyone care for dancy mambos?
I totally agree with everything kinrowan's review said. Sorry Tamilee, I didn't care for this one, either. I love her "I Want That Body" work-outs, though! This Cardio Blast reminded me of cheerleaders jumping around keeping up with all the quickly changing moves, it got to where I just started doing jumping jacks to keep up. I try to avoid dancy work-outs but this one got past me. I will use it, though, because I feel as though it gets my heart rate up good and I need to lose those pounds, but your money is better spent elsewhere like on the latest FIRM work-outs, you can't go wrong with them. That's my opinion.

It's a workout
I just started working out again 4 weeks ago. After looking for a good cardio workout, I found it in this one. It makes you sweat! I did buns of steal years ago and am happy to see that Tamilee is still making videos. If you are an experienced aerobic person, you may want something more. I can see that I will outgrow this one, but am so glad I found it.

Effective and Fun Workout!
I really enjoyed this workout because it really gets your heart rate up in around 30 mins. There's an additional 10 min buns workout. I would consider this to be intermediate level. Tamilee's personality is pleasant and her cueing is excellent. The brightly-lit studio set is simple and decent; the music is great. This is a keeper!

Don't sing along
I really enjoy Tamilee and think she has a great, athletic body. I also like her videos--usually. This one doesn't do enough for my heartrate and Tami's singing along is annoying. It would be good for someone just starting out, perhaps.

Fun! Fun! Fun workout!
I've had dozens of exercise videos and this is the most fun I've had working out. Tamilee's steps are easy but they give a good workout. You can make it gentle or strenous depending on how much you bounce and move your arms around. I felt this workout afterwards on my legs and arms. The music is very danceable, too. I appreciate that the exercises don't all have perfect bodies, although they are all pretty. I'm not much of a dancer, but I mastered all the steps after a couple of sessions. This workout also makes me feel like a better dancer. I can't wait to get Tamilee's other "Fit to the Hits" DVD and her other exercise videos. She is motivating without being overly perky, although I did find it a little annoying whenever she sang along to the music. One good feature of this DVD -- there is a music-only version! This workout is great for beginner to intermediate exercisers.

Beginners Only
I really like Tamilee (particularly I Want Those... series), but this and its cousin, the Motown Moves video/dvd are very basic. Again, it is annoying when she sings along and the "workout" wear in these will show you it is a junior high dance of a workout with costumes instead of a tough fitness routines.

Good workout
Fun workout. Both challenging and more moderate segments.

Annoying singing by TW and never sweated!
I like Tamilee, but these two are dogs! Note to all fitness instructors: do NOT sing along to the music. And wear actual exercise clothing!

mom of two small boys
I am not an aerobics instructor I am a busy busy busy mom of two small busy busy busy boys.
I found the first dvd (haven't tried the second) refreshing and definately a work-out for the lower body. You should probably know that I haven't worked out for quite a while so I did sweat, I am definately looking forward to tomorrow and dvd no. 2 . Seems like you could really get in to it or take it easy whatever your level of fitness is.
Yes, she does sing a little but so will you the music is hoppin and makes you want to sing and dance.
Thanks for such a fun product.
