Jack before Jack and great followup to Mac
If you can follow my title than you want this DVD!!!!! RDA is excellent. The good cop/bad cop cliche works VERY well in this story. RDA plays Jack Rourke, a cop who was arrested years ago under false charges, was cleared but has never been able to shake the fact that he never gets promoted. He can't hold a relationship with anyone. Then he meets a murder witness with a HUGE story behind her also. He spends the vast majority of the film deciding whether he will actually break the law and system that have been unfair to him or keep on the right side. The movie is great and would have to be one of Richard's best works.

Steller drumming on the sountrack.
I haven't really been able to get through the whole film'but I'm sure it's great. I wasn't able to see the premier'even though I played on the sountrack. There was such a huge crew that they just probably couldn't make room for someone as lowly as me. Watch the movie and pay close attention to the amazing drumming going on....The rest of the film is okay too I heard.

Pirates of the Plain
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (14 January, 2003)
MPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: John R. Cherry III

Finally released on DVD.
Pirates of the Plain is one of the best movies Tim Curry has
made. I am a huge fan of Mr. Curry, and am happy to finally own
this movie on DVD. If you are a big fan of Tim's you will definately love this movie.

A 9 year old boy, Bobby, is alone on his Nebraska farm when a nasty Pirate Captain, Jezabel Jack, falls through a time warp landing in present day Nebraska(on the same farm as the boy to be exact). Jezabel and Bobby have a good time looking for treasure until the crew of the Delilah fall through the same time warp, and end up on the Nebraska farm to seek vengance against their double crossing Captain. Cast includes: Tim Curry, Dee Wallace Stone (you might remember her from movies like E.T., and Cujo), Charles Napier, and Seth Adkins. Not only a must see Tim Curry performance, but also a very good family movie! Rated PG for some violence. See Tim as pirate Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island (another good one for Tim fans, and also another good family movie).

Saint Tail - It's Show Time (Vol. 2)

Cutest One so Far
I just got done watching this one, so it's pretty fresh in my mind. Well apart from the first DVD, this one was much better, even thought the plot lines are still a little cheesy they are somewhat better. But this time Saint Tail and Meime(they're the same person) have a rival for Asuka Jr.'s love. The new girl Rina who is also the mayor's niece. Even though I don't think Meime has anything to worry about considering Rina is such a brat and acts so boyish,(in my opinion) I'm sure you would probably agree, but either way you see Meime's true feelings starting to come out for Asuka Jr. (If you don't know who he is, he's a "detective in training" per say, cause his dad is a detective, and the mayor gave Asuka Jr. the case on catching Saint Tail who is supposedly belived to be a theif but in reality she's only protecting the people that have been treated unfairly-like kind of like a used car salesman--sorry it's a little tricky for me to explain). But that's the only reason Asuka Jr. is chasing after her, but during this time she's fallen in love with him and I'm pretty sure he has too, but I don't want to ruin it, you gotta see it for yourself. Hope this helps!!!

Staying On
Released in DVD by HBO Home Video (17 June, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Silvio Narizzano
Average review score:

Excellent Sequel to Jewel in the Crown.
This is an excellent rendering of Paul Scott's book Staying on, which is in itself a sequel to the Jewel in the Crown Quartet also writen by Paul Scott and also made into a TV Drama by Granada the same British compny that made the Jewel in the Crown sereis.
Staying on is a double success, it is an excellent rendering inhnto film of the book itself and in acting and dialogue it does not fall below the excellent TV series the Jewel in the Crown.
The story is set in post independent India, COL Tusker Smalley of the British Indian Army decides to stay on after India gains independence. He stays on as COL of his regiment.
Yes these things happened many British officers stayed on in the Indian Army and many British civil servants stayed on also. They were kept on by the Indian Government. The plot is set some 10 years after Independence when Smalley in his late sixties or early seventies is already pensioned off and living in a small cottage.
The film captures all the poignancy of the end of Empire and how it affected the British and Indians on an individual basis and above all it shows that despite claims to the contrary British Rule was not over resented by the Indians. They wanted Independence yes but the British were rather liked.

A Walk to Remember
Released in DVD by Warner Home Video (09 July, 2002)
MPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: Adam Shankman
Starring: Shane West and Mandy Moore (II)
With refreshing intelligence, A Walk to Remember offers welcome relief from the recent onslaught of teen-movie crudeness. Adapted from the novel by Nicholas Sparks and transplanted from 1958 to the present day, this admirable teen romance recognizes that two 18-year-olds--Landon (Shane West) and Jamie (pop singer Mandy Moore)--can be smart, mature, and sensible about the very real love they share. He's a popular kid in the cool crowd. She's got a goody-goody reputation as the dowdy daughter of a local minister (Peter Coyote); her values and priorities aren't rooted in peer pressure, and Landon feels blessed by her self-assured nobility. Their mutual affection inevitably heads into Love Story territory, but the movie is honest enough to survive its own schmaltz, and its attractive cast (including Daryl Hannah as Landon's mom) embraces a tone of sincerity and mutual respect. Finally... a teen movie with teens you can admire. --Jeff Shannon
Average review score:

Surprize!!
I didn't think I'd like this movie, especially if one of the actors is part of the bubble gum crop of no talent singers. Of all the singers, Mandy Moore has to be the only one that has potential. She can act and does have a beautiful voice. The movie does work in telling the story about a bad kid who learns to live right with the help of a preacher's daughter. A recommended tearjerker!!

A must see movie!!!
I admit that i didn't have great expectation before i saw the movie. But after i watched the movie, my impression has completely changed. It's much more than just a love story; it teaches us to have faith on our beliefs. We may not be able to create a miracle, but we can simply try. The movie also portrait the beauty of friendship. Real friends can help each other to go through difficult times. The essence of the movie is to portrait the ups and downs of life and we should treasure each moment of it.

I DON'T CARE WHAT THE CRITICS SAY...
This is a really good movie. There's something emotionally wrong with you if it doesn't tug even a little bit at your heart strings!
Mandy Moore gives an incredible preformance as Jamie, the daughter of preacher good girl with a heart of gold who is slowly dying of cancer. Shane West plays the bad boy turned good who falls in love with her and wants to make her final days as memorable as possible.
This isn't like every other teen flick out there. It has more depth, great acting, and a great story. I really enjoyed it. And yeah, it's kind of a girly movie - but even my husband, who isn't really into chick flicks, liked this one! Highly recommended.
