Wet 'n Wild Movie Reviews

This being the ninth installment in Playboy's Wet and Wild series (it was the first I bought), cleverly done. Very beautiful women, wonderful scenes including my favorite, school girls having fun while their teacher is away.

This is one of the best Playboy DVDs that I've seen. Hard not to be satisifed with a dozen exceptionally beautiful, naked women getting soaked with various liquids. Of the many fine scenes, four stand out. In "Dripping Delight," three statuesque runway models (Jackie Caswell, Sydney Moon, Layla Roberts) gaze placidly into the camera while being vigorously sprayed by an off-screen water hose. "Wild, Wild Wet" presents three leather-clad cowgirls (Jackie C., Natalia Sokolova, and Summer Altice) dividing their time between shouting exuberantly and ducking for cover as they get blasted by the spray from a passing water truck. Both of these scenes, unfortunately, are accompanied by lame ZZ-Top-style music. In "Oil and Water" Sydney Moon and Jennifer Rovero get slippery as they give their waterbed a workout. If you're attracted to monumental breasts glistening with massage oil, you'll watch this scene more than once. Best of all is "Bubbling Over," in which Natalia S. and Shannon Stewart douse each other with bottles of champagne. Great lighting and camera work, perfect hair styling and make-up, inventive music, and the superhuman beauty of the two Playmates--all of these elements combine to make this one of the most memorable scenes that Playboy has filmed.

Perhaps the only other thing you could ask for is explicit, Penthouse-style poses. One of these days, Playboy will see the light and start giving us explicit close-ups a la Penthouse. Even after they do, however, this DVD will still bear repeated viewings.

One of the best Playboy DVDs I've seen. There are several great scenes highlighting the abundant talents of Shannon Stewart, Summer Altice, Neferteri Shepherd and Natalia Sokolova, among others. The girls get wet by the pool, in a parched wild west town, and in the schoolhouse. The best scene is one shot in slo-mo where Shannon and Natalia uncork the bubbly and bathe each other in champagne :o) Not to be missed.

This is an older Playboy title which was originally released in 1994, and is one of the oldest Wet & Wild releases on DVD so far. There are 9 video segments here, each about 4-5 minutes each.

8 Playmates appear here, and all of them appear in multiple scenes. We get to see late 1980s Playmates, like Tawnni Cable and Fawna McLaren, and several early 1990s Playmates, like Carrie Westcott, Wendy Hamilton, Tiffany Sloan, Shae Marks, Corinna Harney, and Barbara Moore.

Carrie and Fawna appear in 2 of the 9 video segments, while the other 6 ladies appear in 3 different segments each. This DVD is somewhat unique in that every Playmate appears in more than one scene. On most Playboy DVDs, the Playmates appear in only one scene, two at the most. If you're a fan of any of these girls, it is a treat to see them in multiple scenes on the same DVD.

The video footage is all brand-new, at least when it came out in 1994. All of the segments feature at least 2 or 3 girls in each scene. No girl-girl action, but the locker room shower with Tawnni, Fawna, and Carrie is probably the best segment on the whole DVD. The next best locker room scene is the first clip, where Tawnni, Tiffany, and Wendy wash up after an aerobics workout.

I'm a bit confused by some of the previous reviews listed here. Julie Cialini and Jenny McCarthy appear only in the beginning and end credits of the DVD. They are nowhere to be seen on the vignettes featuring the rest of the Playmates. Cori Nadine is not shown on this DVD either, nor is she even listed on the credits. If you're a Julie or Jenny fan, get their Playmate of the Year DVDs. You'll only see them for about a minute each on this DVD.

This is a nice DVD to get if you're a fan of the Wet & Wild series. Why didn't I rate it higher? It's an Image release with less-than-crisp video quality, and not many extreme close-up shots that are more common in the newer Universal releases of Playboy titles.

As with most of the "older" Playboy productions, this is full of beautiful women in sexy vignettes. I'm not much a fan of Playboy videos, but I looked at this one for Julie Cialini, she is gorgeous.

I all I want to say is playboy really pulled this one off!
But could have used cuter grils. Thats all I wanted to say.

Not a bad DVD but I wouldn't suggest this as a starting point for those new to the Mixed Martial arts scene. The fights aren't all that exciting and the fighters are a bit sloppy in their technique. The fact that it's raining and the cage is slippery doesn't help.
Even the best fight is only average.

This event had some good fights in it. The Mezger/Otsuka rematch wasn't the barnburner I expected but the rest of the matches made up for it. The novelty of seeing everyone slipping and sliding while fighting is worth the price of this DVD. The undercard fights on this tape are really what make it a good buy. The other big name fight on this DVD, the Ricco Rodriguez fight, wasn't that exciting either.

If you're a serious MMA fan, you'll definitely want this in your collection. Order it.

if you like UFC, you will LOVE KOTC. there are more fights making the bang for buck factor very high...... it also seems to me that these fighter want to win more also, theyve got more heart..... i thought the best match on this tape was joe hurley vs. charlie kohler.... the slip factor of the water on the octagon would have sucked if i was in there, but to watch other people fight the water and their opponent makes it twice as interesting.. there were a couple brawls in the mix too, which was even better..... and of course in myopinion the best fight commentator out there, eddie bravo gives you the move by move analysis and really lets you know what happening. all in all King in the Cage does it again with this spectacular blow out event!

This is the first installment of Playboy's "Wet And Wild" series of home videos, and also the one which seems the least contrived.

The models are, of course, stunning goddesses... but hey, it's Playboy. My personal favourite would be Anna Clark, Miss April 1987. Unfortunately, her sequence is entirely too brief, but keep an eye out for it. She's quite possibly the most beautiful Playmate overall that I personally have ever had the priviledge of gazing at. The other models are jaw-dropping beauties as well, and most sequences in the video feature them cavorting tastefully in some aquatic setting or another.

A beautiful video featuring adorable women, just as advertised. And a pleasant diversion for an otherwise uneventful day. Thumbs up for sure.

This is one of the best playboy videos I have witnessed. It has an above average collection of women and high average scene quality. Water is the theme here, and its a good theme. It is less explicit then todays videos but well done. It is certainly worth the rent for the typical playboy fan.

Great DVD, hot girls from VoyeurDorm.com and other amateurs. Looks like in Jamaica at Hedonism, so you know some crazy stuff going on there. Girls are young, hot & do just about anything! Highly RECOMMENDED!!

After a interesting opening where a group of office lovelies goes wild on the beach. The video meanders through a series of disconnected scenes. They were heavy on the Patricia Ford as the prior reviewer noted but I thought it could have been called the Shae Marks video. She appears in virtually every scene. Besides the opening scene, the more memorable parts were when Shae is stranded on an island and some lucky guy finds her. The V-Day celebration near the end of the tape was also artistically done. Can't say this was the best I have seen but it wasn't the worst either. If you like Patricia Ford or Shae Marks this might be the video for you.

This is among the best Wet and Wild releases that Playboy has come out with on DVD. It is a bit older title which was originally released in 1995, with lots of Playmate lovelies to look at. There are 9 video segments, each around 4-5 minutes in length, for a rather short running time at 51 minutes.

Most of the Playmates are from the mid-1990's, such as Julie Cialini, Shae Marks and Carrie Westcott (in their pre-silicone days), Lisa Marie Scott, Melissa Holliday, Cindy Brown, and Donna Perry. It also has one of the only Patricia Ford appearances on any Playboy title.

Many of the ladies here appear in multiple vignettes, with Shae Marks appearing in 4 or 5 of the 9 total scenes. The best scenes were two vignettes starring the trio of Julie, Carrie, and Patricia in a sexy beach scene with light caressing. They are joined by Shae and some lucky stud in a 2nd scene in a tropical lake scene.

Fans of Lisa Marie Scott will be glad to see her in 2 scenes here, one in which she sheds her clothes with Melissa Holliday on a hot summer day near a fire hydrant.

Cindy Brown (in her only other appearance besides the Video Calendar) has a very nice scene as she sheds her clothes while waiting at a bus terminal for her ride.

Definitely recommended as a buy, I would've rated it as a 5 if not for the short running time and the average video quality that we've come to expect from Image Entertainment.

Yes, this DVD has the incredibly sexy Patricia Ford in two sequences. The first segment is with PMOY '96 Julie Cialini, who is walking on the beach and finds Ford and Carrie Westcott posing nude for an 'artist'. Ford and Westcott roll around the beach w/ each other, then bring Cialini into the action. Very strong lesbian overtones! The second P. Ford segment is a fantasy sequence w/ Westcott, Cialini, and Shae Marks. This is also a great segment. There are a couple of other good sequences w/o Ford (Marks stranded on an island for one) and as usual a couple of artsy duds. But overall, this is one of the best PB DVDs available.

If you're a Barbara Moore fan you'll be disappointed. She only appears for about two minutes in the last scene. She looked okay but not as good as she has looked in the past. If you're a Dita Von Tease fan, this is a fantastic video. She appears in two scenes and looks great. The only complaint about the Dita scenes is not enough ... shots.

I was disappointed again with this video from Playboy. I would expect a company that has been photographing and videotaping women to produce a better product. I have been a fan of Playboy for over 20 years so I know what their track record is. This video starts out with a couple of short clips of the actual Bikini Show in Vegas - it made me want to see more, but that was it. There is not much of the actual show. The "Backstage" scenes were disappointingly average. The women removed their bikinis and the camera panned up and down their bodies. Each scene pretty much had the same level of eroticism - medium. The women were beautiful - just what you would expect from Playboy. But they didn't generate a lot of excitement or heat.

If you want to know what I like from past DVDs from Playboy, check out the two "Shower Scenes" or the "Carwash" scene from the "Cheerleaders" video or "Double Exposure" from "Girls Behaving Badly".

The women in this DVD are great looking, but the real reason for my purchase was the 3D effect and it wasn't true 3D. If you are looking into purchasing it for the looks alone, you might like it, otherwise, I say don't waste your money.

This video uses the Pulfrich effect for 3D, meaning that with glasses that have one dark lens objects that have backgrounds moving sideways across the screen have the illusion of of 3D. Only some of the scenes use this effect. And although some of the quality is good, a lot of this video is filler with not enough time of the women on the screen.

Stay away from the early Playboy DVDs/videos, as typified by "The Best of Wet and Wild." It's full of embarassing narration (I don't need some make announcer cooing at me about how sexy the women are), moronic segments and anti-sexy photography.

A much better choice: Playboy's Girls of Hawaiian Tropic.

This isn't just bad, it's laughably bad. From the cheesy narration -- "when wet meets dry, things get WILD" -- to the corny nature of the bits to the inclusion of apparently lobotomized men in the vignettes, this is a DVD to avoid.

Other Playboy DVDs are exciting and sexy -- "Girls of Hawaiian Tropic" springs to mind -- but this is just bad.

The directors have an obsession with floppy sagging breasts, and give the viewer close-up after close-up of these "assets."

Even the cleverest bits, like the one at the desert spa at the end of the DVD, are ruined by strange men who look like refugees from 1970s porn films wandering through.

My wife and I burst out laughing when one of the playmates started bicycling around in the nude while the narrator talked about the sexiness of pearls.

Do yourself a favor and rent this at your local video store before you buy this.

The Best of Wet & Wild DVD is somewhat of a misnomer, as it is a compilation of the first 4 Wet & Wild videos, which have so far only been released on VHS and laserdisc, none of them on DVD yet. The current Wet & Wild DVDs available are #5 (Locker Room), #7 (Hot Holidays), #8 (Sex on the Beach), and #9 (Slippery When Wet). #6 (Bottoms Up) has not been released as a DVD.

All of the Playmates who appear on this DVD are from the late 1980s and early 1990s. There are 15 video segments, each around 3-4 minutes in length. The majority of the videos come from Wet & Wild #1, #2, & #3, where you get to see Playmates like brunettes Ava Fabian, Rebecca Ferratti, Petra Verkaik, blondes like Karen Foster, Kathy Shower, Cady Cantrell, Rebekka Armstrong, and redheads Deborah Driggs and Brittany York. Only one segment is from Wet & Wild #4, which features Playmates like Corinna Harney, Wendy Hamilton, and Tanya Beyer.

Each of the scenes have 2 or 3 girls in it, but there are not any girl-girl scenes like those that have appeared in the more recent Playboy releases. Most of the scenes show the Playmates disrobing, posing for the camera, and splashing around in the water, but that's about it.

For longtime Playboy fans, this DVD is a nice treat to see some of your favorite Playmates from a decade ago. However, the newer releases have better video quality and more erotic scenes. This DVD is worth a rental to see what Playboy videos looked like 10 years ago, but it's not a keeper for the collection.
