Very near the worst movie I've seen
The only movies that come to being as bad as this movie have all been on Mystery Science Theater. I'm sure this one would end up there if it weren't for all of the violence. The acting is downright horrible (never made it to the part with Sandra in it... I was about to throw up after 30 minutes and couldn't take any more). The cinematography is even worse... some of the worst angles, light/dark problems, etc. I've ever seen. I'm convinced games like Doom took their idea from this movie... there are shots where you are following guns around and watching them shoot people.

Another reviewer mentioned that High Schoolers could make better movies... I agree and I'm not so sure a middle schooler couldn't.

I found this one in the bargain bin at Walmart... it doesn't belong in the bargain bin, it belongs in the trash bin.

what a bummer
I HAVE SEEN WORSE, 1950S SCREEMING SKULL, THE BRAIN THAT WOULDNT DIE.
I WANT MY 90 MINS. BACK!
I FOUND THE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER DIDNT HAVE SANDRA ON THE POSTER AT ALL, IT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD MARKETING PLOY TO PURCHASE THIS DVD , LIKE I DID. THIS MOVIE HAS HORRIBLE STORY , HARD TO FOLLOW,THE ONLY SAVING GRACE WAS SANDRA .
IT WAS A BIT LIKE LOOKING AT AN OLD YEARBOOK.
ACTION PACT, EDGE-OF-YOUR SEAT THRILLER, I THINK NOT , IT TOOK 2 WATCHINGS, BETWEEN NAPS TO FINISH.

High School kids have done better movies
Save your money. I bought it, regret it, and filed it in the trash.

The Big Day
Released in DVD by Monarch Home Video (23 July, 2002)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Average review score:

The Big Day is a Big Bore!
The story: when the groom's neurotic brother decides to confess just hours before the social-event-wedding-of-the-year that he had once had an affair with the bride, the groom decides that a joy-ride through the city is what he needs to clear his head. But how long can the bride's mother keep the press and the other wedding guests happy until her run-away future-son-in-law can be found?

Don't be taken in by the calibre of the cast, this little film could replace Melatonin as a sleeping pill. Seldom has a film had such an unbearably slow pacing. You find yourself tapping your foot and saying: come on, get on with it!

Julianna Margulies sits around most of the film looking as bored as I felt, and probably wishing that she was back in the Emergency Room, where there's at least some action. Ivan Sergei, who has actually done some decent work ("The Opposite of Sex", "Playing Mona Lisa", "Jack & Jill" and "Once a Thief"), comes off as brain-dead in this role.

Bottom line: banal comedy, that's not funny. Only for insomniacs!

Great Battles of World War II: D-Day - Battle For the Beach
Released in DVD by Madacy Entertainment (22 December, 1998)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Great Battles of World War II
Average review score:

Boring and not very educational
THis DVD is basically copies of WWII propaganda reels. There are very few action shots and I felt I was watching a Middle School Documentary when I viewed it. It has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust ever since I shut it off half way through the 1st day I saw it. Do not waste your time with this one, you would be better off watching the History Channels D-Day documentary, it is MUCH better!

South Africa Freedom Day: Concert on the Square
Released in DVD by Image Entertainment (18 June, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Average review score:

Ironic & Mediocre Concert- Africa Mostly Edited Out
This is a mediocre concert. Don't the let the title fool you- there is almost NO Afrcan music on it at all (!) & the performances by the Brit-poppers are lackluster at best. Baaba Maal fans: avoid this DVD- they limit his appearence to 52 seconds- while REM/Corrs get three songs each (12-15 min.)! This DVD is marred by colonialist editing- ironic, eh? Apartheid lives on the DVD.
