Very Funny
Very funny and insightful look at several comics trying to reach stardom. A look into TryFlynn's life as he struggles in the business. His Answering Machine bit is hilarious and the commentary from his ex-girlfriend about the real-life incident makes it priceless. A must have for any real comic fan because stand-up comedy is the only pure entertainment artform. Eddie Griffin makes a great contribution.

Many think Christmas is a time for giving and charity, but not the makers of Santa's Funniest Moments and Practical Jokes. They mine the season for all the laughs and practical jokes they can--naughty and nice. Just shy of an hour, the show is hosted by Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron who introduces each segment. There are plenty of Santas on skis and sleds who run into trees, people, and snowmen, or just plain wipe out. Viewers sent in their own home videos of holiday mishaps, several of which involve falling Christmas trees and tripping and dropping Christmas dinner (sometimes into the pool). The practical jokes are rather funny, but when you realize they are mostly staged (all at the same "department store"), it takes away from some of the humor. A bonus program, More Santa's Funniest Moments, is included. Fans of America's Funniest Home Videos will laugh at this Christmas version of the same type of show. --Dana Van Nest
