GREAT DVD!
I absolutely LOVE this DVD. It is short and to the point which is what I need given my time schedule. In 20 minutes you get a great pilates workout. She also throws in a lot of fun moves to make this DVD a lot of fun to do.

An Excellent Pilates Workout
This is my favorite Pilates workout on video (and I have several). I would have to disagree with another poster, however - I do not think this video is for beginners. I would classify this as intermediate to advanced. Some of the exercises in this workout are very difficult. I have been working out for over 3 years and consider myself an advanced exerciser and I found this workout to be very challenging.

What is great about this workout is that it is short but very thorough and challenging. The workout is divided into 2 segments (each about 20 minutes long). The first segment is the complete workout. Each exercise flows into the next and there is no talking whatsoever - just music and the name of each exercise is spelled out on the screen. The workout is so wonderful and flowing...it almost feels like a dance. The second segment is an instructional segment in which Niedra goes through each exercise and teaches you how to do it. It is good ot watch this segment before you do the workout for the first time.

All in all, this is an A+ pilates workout....a challenging and flowing routine with a great instructor and the music is awesome too. Nicely produced as well.

I highly recommend it for intermediate to advanced exercisers.

Great for serious pilates students!
This is an excellent dvd for pilates beginners. Niedra's instruction and imagery are extremely helpful. She shows modifications for those of us who are less flexible, too. My only complaint is that I wish the instructional section of the workout had music. This is a must have for any serious pilates student, highly recommended!

Pokemon - Fashion Victims (Vol. 9)
Released in DVD by Pioneer Video (21 September, 1999)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Cross-dressing, hypnosis, and cutthroat practices in the fashion industry all make their appearances in this installment of the phenomenally successful Japanese cartoon series. In "Pokémon Scent-Station," Ash dresses as "Ashley" to get into a local gym after he is banned for insulting the managers' perfume line. His ruse is discovered and he challenges the teacher to a Pokémon duel, pitting his baby-voiced Pikachu against her sour-smelling creature. Children are disappearing and Pokémon are losing their energy in "Hypno's Naptime," until Ash, Misty, and Brock solve the mystery. In "Pokémon Fashion Flash," the final episode of this 75-minute tape culled from the rudimentally animated television series, Brock attempts to cozy up to a beautiful Pokémon breeder whose business is threatened by Pokémon fashion makeovers. Through it all, Team Rocket is causing the usual mayhem: starting fires, stealing business secrets, and thwarting all that is noble and good. Defending order are the three kids, Pikachu, and various other Pokémon, including Gloom, Psyduck, and Hypno. Followed by Fighting Tournament. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Not A Big Pokemon Fan.
I don't like Pokemon but like Digimon can you beleive it? My classmate Esteban loves Pokemon 2000 so I figure he likes this video.

Intresting......
This is not in my case a very good video. It is somewhat boring. I hope the other pokemon installments are much better than this.

Enjoyable series but too [much]
Pokémon is the story about Ash Ketchum and his friends, Misty Williams and Brock Harrison. Ash's goal is to become a Pokémon Master. Misty's goal is to be "the best at everything" but, more specifically, a Water Pokémon Master. Brock's goal is to be the world's best Pokémon breeder. Pokémon are the animals that inhabit their world. They come in many different species (mouse, cat, dog, etc.) and types (electric, grass, water, fire, etc.). Each Pokémon trainer trains his or her Pokémon to battle other Pokémon and win badges to compete in Pokémon Leagues. Ash, Misty, and Brock must deal with Jessie, James, and Meowth of the evil Team Rocket, who want to steal Ash's first Pokémon, Pikachu, and usually other Pokémon as well. This Japanese animation series is an advertisement for the Pokémon video games, and the episodes' plots are usually simple, but this is actually an enjoyable series. Common themes are friendship, not giving up, parting ways with a dear friend, and other good morals. Parents and guardians that are concerned about the violence need not worry. Yes, the kids have their pets fight each other, but they also must learn to take care of and love their pets. Girls will find a strong female role model in Misty. Overall, this is a fun, simple, warm-hearted, rather repetitive series. However, despite how much I like the anime, the DVDs are not worth your money. Each episode is probably less than twenty minutes long, and there are only three episodes on each DVD. You would be paying the price of this DVD for around one hour of Pokémon. That's ridiculous. They don't even include the Japanese vocal tracks with English subtitles or the fun music videos from the TV airings. You can rent these same English-dubbed episodes on VHS. If you really want this series on DVD, my advice to you is to buy the movies and the special, "Mewtwo Returns", and wait for box sets of the series.

TOOK ME BY SURPISE 3.5/ 5
Overall a lot better than I expected for a DVD that wasn't a Pet Of Year DVD(which is usually the better series)of Penthouse. I wish they would have got rid of Julia Garvey she makes me sick with about 7 piercings or more(too many to count),I find it hard to believe she was a Penthouse Pet she looks like playboy trash or maybe even as trashy as hustler which is terrible. Now for the positives Nikie St. Gilles looks the best I've seen her look since her pictorial in the Janurary 1999 Pet Of The Year issue. She looks so much better on this disc then the POTY 1999 DVD and has better poses, outfits. Alexus Winston also shouldn't be forgotten she has a scene where she poses in black leather during a 80's metal soundtrack which is a good scene. Alexus Winston looks the best by far, too bad she only has one solo scene. I would of got rid of Aimee Sweet period and had more (Alexus,Nikie,Samantha) and this could have been a 5 star production easily. P.S IF YOU LIKE ALEXUS WINSTON IN THIS ,YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT HER IN (PENTHOUSE P.O.T.Y. 2000 WINNER DVD),SHE HAS 2 SMOKING SOLO SCENES AND 2 GIRL/GIRL SCENES!

Interesting little movie
This video, primarily starring 3 Penthouse Pets, should give to Penthouse fans what they expect. Though I don't think these models are really into girls they pull off the love scene pretty well. I thought the solo scenes were better than the 3-ways, and especially liked Aimee Sweet's. I would like to have seen some more of the "behind-the-scene" footage since this can help you appreciate the work going into this video. The one scene of Aimee and Alexus standing off camera in robes waiting for the next scene lets you get a sense that these girls are not sexed up Pets, but models trying to create erotic images.

The on-camera interviews are fun, but I had the sense they were rehearsed, and not necessarily the models' true feelings. I quess when you're playing the role of a Penthouse Pet you have to be a Penthouse Pet.

Absolutely Delicious
Better than some of the Playoff series! Featuring Aimee Sweet, Alexus Winston, Nikie St. Gilles, Julie Garvey and Samantha Stewart. The disc starts with Aimee, Alexus and Nikie posing in full evening gowns. All 3 could have been fashion models, and look sizzling dressed. Fortunately, for us these girls are pets and soon start pulling at each others gowns, ending in a smoking 3 girl love scene. Next, Julie Garvey dressed as the Princess of Darkness tries to tease, followed by Samantha Stewart. Samantha has her haired dyed platinum instead of her usual honey blond. She looks hot in a little black lace teddy and panties, and soon reveals all her charms. Aimee, Alexus and Nikie all have solo seens with Nikie's being the stand out. Nikie appears in red lingerie which she slowly removes and pours candle wax on herself. She is incredible in this scene, I haven't seen her look this hot since she played the damsel in distress in AZ multimedia's 1996 video game CyperExperience. If you like beautiful women, Penthouse or just something to forget that bad day at work don't hesitate on buying this one.

Fashion Victim: The Killing of Gianni Versace

Riveting documentary
This excellent documentary primarily focuses on Gianni Versace and his rise to the top of the fashion industry. His killer, Andrew Cunanan, is also profiled, but in less detail than Versace. Nevertheless, this is a riveting and often mesmerizing documentary. Among those interviewed are Versace's partner, Antonio D'Amico, who provides illuminating details about the Versace family. Others interviewed are those who worked closely with him, photographers (like Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchalier), and other designers (John Giuliano). Although those interviewed provide excellent quotes, it is the footage of Versace at work with the models and the interior footage of his elaborate mansions that are most interesting. Andrew Cunanan is given less time, but many of his friends are interviewed and comments from his father (who obviously has a screw loose and is trying to benefit financially from his son's story) are included. Cunanan's mother is also shown in a brief clip. Author Maureen Orth, who wrote a book about Cunanan, is also interviewed. The most fascinating aspect of the Cunanan profile concerns the murder of Lee Miglin, a well known and influencial Chicago resident and how the Chicago cops tried to pass off Miglin's murder as a random killing when evidence proved otherwise. Highly recommended for documentary lovers and anyone who has an interest in the Versace empire.

Many Sides to a Great Story
Although it may not be a completely factual account of the Versace murder mystery, it is refreshing to see that the story is told from many points of view and does not only depend on sensational journalism. For any true Versace fan there are many beautiful visuals of his homes and designs and some pretty good accounts of certain aspects of his life. It's sad there were no statements made by the Versace family, however I was surprised to finally hear Antonio D'amico's point of view. Overall, I do feel it's an interesting selection if you want to know more about the story; probably one of the best yet. Definitely, a good choice for your DVD library.
