Amazing
the only word that i can say about this video is: AMAZING! Juan and Diana are great teachers. they have a fan way of teaching, i had a lot of fun watching this video and i learned a lot too. they break and down all the steps and they are very easy to learn. If you are looking for a good instructional salsa video, i recomend, this is the best one.

Full of steps I like & use.
I was watching this video with a group of my Advanced social Lady dancers & within 2 minutes of this video playing Diana had all of us smiling & laughing. The interplay between Juan & Diana keep us smiling & laughing throughout this video. They are fun teachers who enjoy their Salsa dancing & teaching.
This couple are the first Salsa teachers I have seen on video that I would like to take classes with. Their Salsa classes must be fun.

Although this video is not called a Ladies Spin video I feel it is great for this. The video is full of double, triple & quadruple turns right up to the 20's + spins. Diana gives some great tips on Ladies spinning.
The video is also full of Ladies styling tips.

The step combinations are shown & taught on ONE & on TWO so all dancers can learn the steps. The steps are danced to music on ONE & on TWO. This video teaches one of the most famous steps, the "Coffee Grinder". I have seen this step being taught in other Salsa videos but I like Juan & Diana version of teaching it the best.

As most of the steps in this video were being shown. The ladies with me were calling out, 'Neal's social'. Most of the steps in this video are what I like to use with my Advanced Social Ladies.
This video is full of steps I like to use. This video was like watching my favourite moves been shown. My styling is different than that used in this video so I was able to get some new endings or variations of the steps. As all the turn combinations are shown with several different styling & endings or versions you end up with some impressive steps.
The moves by Super Mario from England were nice.

The video is very good value for money. It is a good length & the picture quality is amazing.

This video is a great introduction to Advanced Salsa. I am looking forward to seeing their new videos they are producing this year 2002.

All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku

This zany, over-the-top OAV from 1992 set a pattern for numerous anime properties. Elementary school student Ryunosuke is unhappy about his parents' divorce. His father is a nutty inventor, his mother is the president of Mishima Heavy Industries, and their quarrels achieve levels of destruction that eclipse Project A-Ko. Ryu's father creates Nuku Nuku by transplanting the brain of a kitten into the body of his NK 1124 android, producing a well-intentioned but dangerously maladroit supergirl. Although Nuku Nuku tries hard to please everyone, she doesn't demean herself, the way the title character does in Steel Angel Kurumi. At one point, Ryu wants his parents to live together, so Nuku Nuku sets up a little fake apartment for them--in one room of the vast Mishima mansion. The six episodes are all slapstick and silliness, but curiously endearing. (Rated 12 and older: brief nudity and risqué humor, cartoon violence, tobacco use) --Charles Solomon

Over-the-top and yet, sometimes mature...
The inventor, Kyusaku Natsume, is escaping from his wife, the ruthless Lady Akiko Mishima, with both their son and the NK-1124 android. During their escape, while they are being chased by the Lady's elite team of Office Ladies, armed with the best from the military products division of her company, a cat is killed.
Next thing you know, Kyusaku and son and new DAUGHTER (the android with the cat's brain inside) are living together, trying to have a normal life. That is, until Lady Akiko Mishima and her female warriors find them again!
While funny, sometimes down right silly, there are sometimes very mature, even beautiful, moments between the members of this wacko family. The relationships between father and son, father and wife, and even the relationship between the family and Nuku-Nuku become part of the story, sometimes in the background and sometimes in the foreground.
The six episodes, with the very modern looking menus and the extras, make it worth buying IF you can get it for a low-low price (as in used).

Purrfect for anime fans
One Day, Ryunosuke is out with his father when he finds a cat and asks his father if he can keep it. Kyusaku (dad) can hardly say no before they are attacked by a hi tech helicopter. They take off, and the chase is on. By the time the chase is over and their car is wrecked, Ryunosuke and Kyusaku are okay, but the cat.....is dead. It then cuts into the main story. Kyusaku is a genius scientist, by the way. He ends up putting the cat's brain into a female android body! Oh and the antics that ensue. The story is centered around Ryunosuke, his father, Nuku Nuku (the cat girl), Akiko (their rival, and Kyusaku's WIFE), and Akiko's gun crazy employees. Nuku Nuku is so loveable, but for some reason, everyone wants to kill her! This six episode DVD encompasses the entire story. It is action packed and hilarious, but still touching in many moments. My only complaint is that I wish there was more. There are pretty good extras like an image gallery and trailers. The picture is pretty good ( as good as it can be for a slightly older animation), with good sound. I recommend this to anime fans in general, unless you are very stuck in your particular genre.

Nuku Nuku: A one-of-a-kind Must-Buy!!!


Okay, so let's get to the point: Nuku Nuku ROCKS. The story goes like this:


A young boy, Ryunosuke, comes across a kitten when he's...*ahem* "doing his business" in the ally. O.o He desides to take the kitten home, but when he takes it to the car, his dad Tells him "No Ryu, We're criminals now. We don't have time for a cat...We hafta get this thing outta here!!! *points to a robot body in the back seat*" But then a helicopter starts chasing and shooting at them, and the chase begins.


Ryu and his dad wreck into the side of a garbage heap, and the helicopter shoots at them inside their car, and then leaves.


"Ryu? Are you okay?"
"*sniffle*...Yes..."
"What's wrong, Ryunosuke Buddy?"
"*sob*...The cat...."


It turns out the cat had been shot and killed, although Ryu and his father where still okay.


"Oh, don't cry Ryu Buddy..."
"*sob* But dad, It's all my fault!!!"
*The Dad lights a cigarette, and then looks at the robot in the back.*
"Hmmm....Maybe there is a way..."
*silence*
"Ryunosuke buddy, you're going to have the Best Christmas ever!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"


And so, the epic saga of All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku Begins! The dad (Papa-San) puts Nuku Nuku's brain into the super-powered robot, and their comical adventures lead to Robotic octopuses, raving mad moms, catnip bombs & more!!! Quote Video Box: "All Ryunosuke wanted was a kitten...he got something just a little bit better." You will too if you buy ALL PURPOSE CULTURAL CAT GIRL NUKU NUKU!!!! *Meow! X3*

Poor quality DVD
The DVD skips so often with loud noise between the cuts. You can't see all the steps and moves.

Wow!
This DVD is excellent! I love how they break down and name the fundamental dance steps. Once you conquer the fundamentals, the fancy combinations will come much easier to you. Each combination consist of the fundamental moves you learned in the beginning of the dvd. Excellent buy! I have all 3 dvd's...

Excellent to begin with
I and my partner, after a taking couple salsa lessons, decided to improve our practice with videos. I think this one was a very good choice for what we aimed to do. Compared to most other instuctional videos, Juan and Diana use the time very efficiently. They first teach the basic movements and terminology then proceed with partner work and end up with 15 different figures in 52 minutes.

Buyer Beware
Do not buy this dvd if you are thinking it will give you a workout or that it will get you dancing like they do in Bollywood films. The dvd is 75% talk and the other 25% is the demonstration of a single step or hand gesture again and again and again. This is not the dvd to get if you want to dance at an Indian wedding (as I did)....

AN ok start
this video is an ok start for the simple workouts of this dance.
it has a good foundation for this dance, but some movements are fast and has to be repeated alot to learn. the video itself has some statics which are very annoying.

This is a neat video!!!
My five year old daughter just started taking classical dance classes. As I do not have dance background, I was struggling to help her practice at home. Then one of my friend recommended this video to me.

This video breaks up the steps, hand gestures and other movements into simple segments and makes it easy for me to help my daughter learn. Everyday after school, I just put the tape on and make my daughter follow the video. Some times I get up and try it out too. This has become a mom and daughter fun time.

My daughter has made excellent progress in the recent weeks. She now can remember the detailed aspects of each movement. She can pronounce all the Sanskrit terminology. She is moving very fast compared to other children of her age. Her teacher is very impressed by her progress. I recommend this to all the parents like me who are planning to join their child in the classical dance class. It really made things easy on us.
