The Steve Harvey Show is 1 of the best shows out there. Steve Harevy And Cedric "The Entertainer" R great comedians. The whole cast rules. This show is halarious and full of non-stop laughter. This dvd captures the best moments of the show and has 5 of the best episodes ever created. Don't 4get Bullethead. It is a shame that Merlin Santana (who played Romeo) died because he was shot while sitting in a car. Romeo is a gr8 character. The best part of the show was when they added Lori Beth Denberg 2 the cast. I grew up watching Lori Beth Denberg on Nickelodeon's "All That". She is amazing. 4 anyone who likes, "Kings Of Comedy", u'll love this.

Oh, Yeah! - Rest In Peace 2 Merlin Santana (AKA Romeo Santana)

Christian Leffler
Great movie. Also, check Christian Leffler out in 'Drinking Games' - another great indie film.

My Favorite Independant Adventure
I am in this film. My name is Christian Leffler, I play Neil(NIHIL). Brent Florence, the writer/director of this film, originally titled SOLID ONES, understands storytelling, casting, and actors so well that the film works on multiple levels. For young filmakers it's a testament to the independent process. Shot on Hi-definition video and then processed to look like film it is a stepping stone in independant film making. Florence and his crew were brave in their journey and it shows through the film. The comentary is going to enlighten you to the fun we had and the technical follies as well. It's a fun ride for, literally everyone, that I hope you will enjoy and share with your friends. Keep your mind open and keep supporting smaller films as these films will challenge you, taking risks the studios ar too afraid to take.

Perfect Game
Released in DVD by Buena Vista Home Vid (06 May, 2003)
MPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: Dan Guntzelman
When a championship-bound coach (Patrick Duffy) adds some notoriously untalented kids to his team on a bet, the players view it as their chance to learn from the master. But the scheming coach has other plans, which include not letting them play. When young Kanin and friends uncover the plot and the coach is dismissed, the team disintegrates--or does it? With the help of Kanin's determined mom (Tracy Nelson) and a past-his-prime coach (a blustery Ed Asner), the multiracial, coed team pulls it together enough to make it to the playoffs, where they face... you guessed it, Duffy and his new team. The latest in a long line of underdog kids sports movies, which started with The Bad New Bears, this 96-minute film from Disney TV has neither the wit nor the grit of its inspiration, but it serves as reasonable family entertainment. Baseball fans will have to forgive its casual approach to the rules of the game, however. (Ages 5 and older) --Kimberly Heinrichs

memories
reminiscent of the Kenny Roger's hit "The Greatest". Superb acting by young Cameron Finley (Kanin) as he struggles to become a great ball player like his dad. A movie that will surely bring back Little League memories, whether as a player, parent of coach. Great family film for young and old alike.

A Great Family Film!
There are all too few movies around that we can take the kids to. And many of them are tough for adults to sit through. Thankfully, this one is a gem. Ed Asner is charming as always and Patrick Duffy makes a great bad guy. But the kids are the stars of this story of a young boy who just wants to be one of the team. Don't miss this one. It'll make a great addtion to the kids' video library.

White Wolves 3: Cry of the White Wolf

It was Cool
Talk about a hizantz movie. This is it!!! Think about the situation they are put in. A teenage guy and girl stranded out in the middle of no where. And they only have to walk 200 miles to find this tiny ranger station in the middle of the great wide open. How can it get better then that. O wait I know, the wolf. This wolf is the poo so take a wiff.

The Hatchet
This movie is closely based on Gary Paulen's excellent book The Hatchet. I'm not sure why they changed the title, since they kept so much of the plot. It is about a boy whose plane crashes into a lake in the middle of the wilderness, and he survives using his wits and the tool for which the book is named.

The Bachelor/In Love and War
Released in DVD by Warner Home Video (29 April, 2003)
MPAA Rating: PG-13 (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: Richard Attenborough
Starring: Chris O'Donnell and Sandra Bullock
Average review score:

fine acting
A great combination of acting and directing. I didn't expect to find this level of maturity and emphasis on acting skills from Sandra Bullock. No question the combination with Chris O'Donnell was a success and the directing by Richard Attenborough masterful. In my opinion it took his directing to bring out the acting ability of Sandra Bullock that I always felt lay just below the surface. Don't get me wrong, some of her other performances and movies have been great, but they relied on great stories/beauty to be a hit. This one adds great acting as well, and what a combination it makes. I don't quite understand why it hasn't already become a major hit, but I'm quite sure time will justify my rating of 5 stars. For those viewers who have seen other versions of Hemingway's story, this one is so far ahead it's not even funny. The supporting cast is exceptional as is the quality of the production/filming. Lets keep our fingers crossed that more performances like this will be forthcoming.

Dick Tracy DVD
This is a must for Dick Tracy Fans! This DVD released by Marengo Films pairs Dick Tracy Meets Grusome with Boris Karolff and Dick Tracy Detective. The presentation is very well done, the DVD cover has the old comic book look from the 1940's. All the detail is there, the quality is especially good and for the price you can't go wrong!

Fugitive Champion
I thought Chip Mayer did great acting and was very impressive in this movie. The story flowed very smoothly from one scene to another. Usually, I'm tempted to fast-forward through movies, especially if you can guess the next scene, however I was "glued" to the screen for this one. Good Job!!

Last Night
Released in DVD by Lions Gate Home Ente (19 August, 2003)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Don McKellar
Apocalyptic visions can take many forms, from atomic to cosmic disaster, from cautionary tale to sardonic despair, comets, asteroids, plague. But when it comes to the end of the world, one expects fire or ice, bang or whimper. Rarely does this genre focus on the area between those two extremes, as it does brilliantly in Don McKellar's Last Night, a wry tale exploring the effects of the world's imminent demise on a group of characters in Toronto. No panic ensues, no looting, no gnashing of teeth or elaborate schemes to forestall disaster. Well, that may be happening somewhere, but certainly not in Toronto. Here the radio counts down the top 500 hits of all time. The clock ticks by the evening hours while daylight fails to wane. Everywhere, people prepare for the end in ways that range from the mundane to the winsome. The principal action throws together Patrick (McKellar), a dejected young man who plans on spending the end alone listening to music, with Sandra (Sandra Oh), whose plans to spend the end with her husband (David Cronenberg) are thwarted by lack of transportation. Meanwhile, Patrick's friend Craig (Callum Keith Rennie) is fulfilling every sexual fantasy he's ever had. Love the one you're with is the message here. The real star is the tone of the picture, which is distanced and ironic and masterfully maintained throughout. Sarah Polley and Geneviève Bujold appear in supporting roles. It's the directorial debut of actor McKellar (Exotica, eXistenZ), who also scripted The Red Violin. --Jim Gay

About Last Night...
Last Night [my favourite movie] works so well at evoking many emotions (pity, suspense, sadness, gladness, etc.) but I am not surprised because it is written and directed by one of Canada's finest, Don McKellar.

It is set in Toronto on the very last hours before the world ends, and follows different people (all connected in some way) and how they choose to spend it. It is very dark, yet funny at times to watch as these people deal with the last 6 hours of their lives....what would you be doing?

Although this is a Canadian flick, you may recognize some of the people in it'.Don McKellar (co-wrote 'The Red Violin', was in eXistenZ, Waydowntown, and 'Twitch City' a hilarious and innovative television show directed by another Canadian gem, Bruce McDonald)'Sarah Polley (Road to Avonlea, eXistenZ , and Go)'David Cronenberg (yes, the ingenious director!)'Callum Keith Rennie (Memento, eXistenZ, and Hard Core Logo)'

The DVD itself doesn't offer many extras (well at least the one I own), but I am still happy to have it in my collection. So should you.

Is there a better childrens show out there? No, there isn't. LB, Duck, Cat and Owl define what childhood should be...living life in the moment, knowing you are loved. Magnificent simplicity! My daughter continues to be enchanted, it's been 4 years now since we started watching these episodes....bring on all the shows on a complete set. Highly reccomended...lose the ritalin, bring on Little Bear.
