Wes Craven's New Nightmare
Released in DVD by New Line Studios (06 August, 2002)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Wes Craven
Starring: Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund
English-professor-turned-horror-auteur Wes Craven brings both careers to play in this ingenious reinterpretation of the Nightmare on Elm Street series as a modern-day fairy tale--a sort of Hansel and Gretel for big kids. Heather Langenkamp, star of the original film, plays Heather Langenkamp, an actress and mother wracked with nightmares as Los Angeles is rocked with unexplained earthquakes. Meanwhile, her son starts sleepwalking and croaking Freddy Krueger threats. Is it a coincidence that Wes Craven (playing himself) is turning his own troubled dreams into a new screenplay, which he calls "a sort of nightmare in progress"? According to his visions, the imaginary Freddy has become the embodiment of ancient evil and is trying to break out of his movie prison and into the physical world. It's a rather literal and glib explanation, but words have never been Craven's strong suit. His central thesis, the cultural importance of stories, is more resonant in the web of imagery arising from dreams, movies, and the subconscious. Robert Englund and John Saxon play themselves and their movie characters (though this Freddy is decidedly less wisecracking and more demonic). It's a thoughtful, imaginative, and often gripping modern horror film that echoes with suggestions of The Exorcist and Poltergeist. Though less of a fun-house thrill ride than previous Nightmares, it's scarier and smarter than any of the other series sequels. --Sean Axmaker

Best of the Nightmare series!
I first saw this movie on HBO an ordered the DVD soon after. In fact, it was the film that really turned me on to the Nightmare series. It stars Heather Langenkamp, Robert Englund, and Jhon Saxton, all of whom played in the original Nightmare and returned to play themselves. I loved almost everything about this film, especialy the awsome upgrade they gave Freddy. It was directed by Wes Craven, The creator of the series and the best director to ever make a horror film. It was a nice change from the other Freddy flicks. The plot could have been better though. the whole idea that Freddy was actually an ancient demon seemed stupid. Another thing I didn't follow was the little boy that played Heather Langenkamp's son who kept getting possesed by the demon. It just didn't fit with the film. Other than that, this was a great movie. I loved the way it trys to parallel the first Nightmare film. And it was the scariest one out of the entire Nightmare series. It was a well balanced production with a little action, a little gore, and no stupid love scenes. And this is the only one that shows Freddy the way he should be; a demonic phsyco killer. It is a more frightning, more demonic Nightmare film that will keep you on the edge of your seat! It was a perfect way to end to best horror series ever procuced. so if you are a Freddy fan, I would highly reccomend this exellent movie.

By far the BEST of the sequels and one of Craven's best.
I love this movie. The original "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" might as well be the only two films in the series. After creating a classic horror film with the 1984 original, director Wes Craven sold the rights to his Freddy Krueger character and the series was taken over by other filmmakers. This resulted in many mundane, lifeless sequels (with exception of Nightmare 3 which Craven did cooperate with as executive producer and story writer). By the time "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" came about, the series probably could not have gotten worse. Then, a few years later, Wes Craven returned to the series with "New Nightmare", a film which takes place outside of the movie universe of the Nightmare films. Heather Langenkamp, star of the original film, returns and many actors play themselves (including Craven in a rare acting appearance.) I'm so glad that Heather Langenkamp is in this movie. I loved her in the original and found her more appealing that any future lead actress in the series.

The result, in my opinion, far exceeded any of the Nightmare sequels. In fact, I'd say it's among Wes Craven's best movies. Like the original, it's a horror film with a brain and real ideas. Not just another slasher-fest with Freddy cracking jokes and killing. "New Nightmare" is an intelligent, well-written and well-made film. The idea is that Freddy Krueger is an evil force that really exists and that after being killed off in the movies, he wants to move into the real world. One thing I love about this movie is how it blurs the line between films and reality. Wes Craven is one of the masters of brainy horror and he really manages to add depth to his films that you don't often see in the genre. This is why I regard Craven as one of the greatest horror directors of the last three decades. "New Nightmare" is one of his finest achievements and is absolutely essential for Craven fans.

Some fans of the Nightmare series give this movie flack because it strays so far from the established formula. However, that's exactly what I love about it. It doesn't just rehash the same old crap again. It gives us something new and original. Sure, Freddy doesn't have much screen time, there's not much gore and there's no dumb teenagers (a big plus), but that's not bad at all. "New Nightmare" sacrifices visceral thrills (which some horror fans can't accept) for ideas and innovation. This is a great horror movie from a great horror director.

Extremely Scary and Very Clever
First off, **** 1/2 stars! Anways-I saw this when it came outin 94 and it confused me because it was so unlike any other Freddy movie out there. And I just saw it again last night and it was really creepy and I enjoyed it a lot! The reason I enjoyed it is because it is so unlike that rest. It takes place in the real world, in the life of Heather Langenkamp and her family. That right there makes it a whole lot more interesting than the other countless sequels.
It is reaching the 10 year maek of Nightmare On Elm Street, and Wes wants to make another/final Freddy movie, but as the stars playing them self, like this movie does. And it can get confusing at times, and slow but it's exciting when it gets going! So, Wes Craven is having these dreams and writes them dowen into a script and Heather is having dreams and what she dreams comes true and her son ( who is so annoying I wish he would have jumped off the top of that jungle gym!!! ) is acting like Freddy and Neither of them can sleep. And we never really see Freddy until the end but he is definitaly updated! Leather pants and long balck jacket and a metal glove and his burns are strange and his eyes are unreal. It is Robert Englung but you can't tell. And some of my favorite effects are when the kid is in the hospital and the baby sitter gets killed in pretty much the same fasion as Tins in the first movie, but less blood and then the kid escapes and runs across the freeway and that whole scene is very well put together! And then when Heather and her son are in Freddys dream world that too has been re-created. And they aren't as many kills and you don't see Freddy until the last 30-45 minutes but this movie plays with your mind and some people on here say how it's the worst, they say that because you have to think with this movie. It makes you think about it and what will happen next and one person on here says it's bad because there is no nudity, HORROR movies are supposed to scare you, not pleasure you with nakedness. If you want nudity go rent a porn stupid!!! This movie actually had class and sufistication. One of the best in the series!!!!

Classic King
This is a veary well done movie worth seeing in my opinion but its kind of cheesy in places and the ending sucks the reason I gave it 3 stars is the fact that all the charecter's die at the end and the acting is pritty bad but all in all a good film but its a better book other Stephen King movies that are better are Christine,Maximum Overdrive,Carrie and Dream Catcher anyway all in all a real good horror film

Movie pales in comparison to the book
I couldn't say it any better, this movie simply pales in comparison w/ the book.......i first saw this movie back in 1990- when i was like 10 years old, at the time i thought it was the best horror movie ever made.......well i grew up a little took a liking into mr. king's writing and picked up the book and finished it in 3 days........i was anxiously waiting to rent the movie (i only saw it that one time prior to reading the book)....and was disappointed. Aside from the plot - the acting was abysmal - i mean cmon DALE MIDKIFF???? DALE WHO??? he was so unemotional ......and that little ellie character was so annoying.........only halfway decent acting came from fred gwynne aka jud crandall - his performance was nothing short of a decent B actor ----- i must say however that if i had to pick a stephen king movie to watch it would be this one........for the simple reason that every other movie that he participated in was absolutely a waste of time......and money for that matter.

True, classic horror!
They just don't make horror films like they used to anymore! Nowadays, the entire horror genre has turned into nothing but slasher flicks. But if you want to be VERY scared and disturbed, rent PET SEMATARY on a dark and stormy night. I assure you, you won't be disappointed! It's about the Creed family, who have just moved to Ludlow, Maine and to their beautiful new home. On their first day of arrival, their kindly old neighbor Jud Crandall comes over and introduces himself after he saves Gage, their youngest son, from getting hit by a truck. Jud talks of a path behind their house, which he says leads to a pet "sematary." Even though Jud knows there is something else beyond the pet "sematary," he does not show it to them. But, he does show it to Louis when his daughter's cat get run over in the road by a truck. It's a Native American Burial Ground that brings the dead back to life. After buring the cat there, Louis is amazed to see him alive and kickin' the next day, and also stinking of an unearthly stench. Later, Jud informs Louis that the Burial Ground is evil, and that what you bury there isn't what comes back to you. What comes back to you is pure evil in the form of the thing you buried. After a horrible accident involving Gage, Louis buries him in the Burial Ground with horrowing results...

You'll be scared out of your skin when you see PET SEMATARY! It's a classic Stephen King film, so buy it now!

Night of the Living Dead
Released in DVD by Columbia/Tristar Studios (05 September, 2000)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Tom Savini
Starring: Tony Todd and Patricia Tallman
Average review score:

Bloodless remake
I couldn't believe how bad a zombie movie this was in the hands of the two people most associated with the Living Dead series. Romero's dialogue is awful, and isn't help by some of the terrible performances (esp. Tom Towles). What I was looking forward to was better special effects than the original due to the bigger budget. The fx sucks. The zombies are boring and the blood looks brownish (chocolate syrup again?) You'd think with Savini behind the camera, the effects would have played an important role in the film (ala Chris Walas' Fly sequel). But the zombie's look like a bunch of drunks. I know that this film had to be cut to get a R rating, but I've seen much gorier films from the 80s. I watched this movie for the second time after seeing Day of the Dead a few days before, and there's no comparison between this and Romero's superior film. And all you people who keep giving this movie 5 stars must have never seen a real horror movie before seeing this snoozefest.

I SAW THIS MOVIE ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO AND IT WAS GREAT! pATRICIA tALLMAN IS GREAT. THIS MOVIE IS GREAT. i FORGET WHO THAT GIRL IS WHO GETS BLOWN UP IN THAT CAR! I BUYING THIS NEXT WEEK SO I WILL BE WATCHING IT ALL WEEK.

One Of The Best Horror Movies Of The '90s!
On August 16 and 17, I went to my first horror convention, which was HorrorFind 2003 in Maryland. I came along for one reason: to meet Tom Savini, the greatest gore wizard in horror movie history. This guy is so cool; his effects look so real, even when watched behind the scenes. I brought along my DVDs of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 90 (which he directed) and THE PROWLER (which he did a commentary for with Joseph Zito and features some of his greatest gore effects) for him to autograph. (My NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 90 DVD was also signed by John A. Russo, Russ Streiner, Tony Todd and Bill Moseley.) It was so cool meeting Savini and telling him how awesome his effects are; I e-mailed Savini a few days ago to tell him about his effects on DAY OF THE DEAD.
Before the convention, I saw NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 90 twice; I watched it the second time listening to Savini's commentary. I must say, this remake is light years better than most remakes that are trotted out lately because it stays true to the original yet has its own unique twists. I totally loved what they did with Barbara (brilliantly played by Patricia Tallman); she went from a catatonic victim to a kick-ass, yet sympathetic, heroine. Tony Todd was excellent as Ben; it's easy to see why Savini went with Todd for this role, since Todd really put his heart into his performance. I also loved how they increased the dramatic tension in the story, especially the conflicts between Harry Cooper (Tom Towles), who now resembles Captain Rhodes from DAY OF THE DEAD, and everyone else. The zombies are also the highlight of the film, as they truly looked dead, which was the goal of the effects crew. In fact, Savini's direction is reminiscent of Dario Argento (whom he worked with on TWO EVIL EYES and TRAUMA), especially in the way the film manipulates the viewer with his/her knowledge of the original before hitting him/her with a new twist (e.g., the opening graveyard scene). And besides, George A. Romero and a few others involved with the original were involved with this remake, which is always a good sign.
This DVD has great extras along with the aforementioned commentary, which is informative in detailing the production and various studio problems and scenes which Savini was never able to film. There's also a terrific documentary, "The Dead Walk," which has interviews with Savini, Russo, Streiner, Tallman, and special effects man John Vulich; this also includes deleted gore scenes among other details of the production, including how it came to be. It was really interesting to hear that Savini thinks that it's what you don't see that's scarier, like traditional horror fans, and I agree with that, and that he's proud of this movie despite the problems that were encountered. Me, I think that this remake has become a classic in its own right, especially when you consider AIDS was still on the rise then. Highly recommended!

Candyman
Released in DVD by Columbia/Tristar Studios (07 August, 2001)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Bernard Rose
Starring: Virginia Madsen and Xander Berkeley
Based on a story by Clive Barker and skillfully written and directed by Bernard Rose, Candyman rises above most horror films by eerily suggesting that some urban legends--in this case a particularly frightening one--have a spooky basis in reality. The legend of the Candyman is a potent one around the high-rise tenements of Chicago's Cabrini-Green housing complex, where the residents speak of a dark, ominous figure who appears when his victims say his name five times in front of a mirror, then mercilessly slashes them to death. Upon learning that the Candyman is rumored to live in one of the vacant tenements, a University of Illinois researcher (Virginia Madsen) investigates a recent murder at Cabrini-Green. She learns that the Candyman (played by Tony Todd) is both unreal and chillingly real--a supernatural force of evil empowered by those who believe in his legend. He is a killer made flesh by the belief of others, and the young researcher's investigation is a threat to his existence. What happens next? We wouldn't dare spoil the chills, but rest assured that writer-director Rose has tapped into a wellspring of urban angst and fear, and Candyman serves up its gruesome frights with a refreshing dose of intelligence. --Jeff Shannon

not so good
its very boring,it aint as good as i thought it would have been.
the best part of it is definitely how it ends.the public light a pile of wood on fire to kill the candyman but helen is in there aswell.hellen gets killed and then her X-husband goes upto the mirror to repeat her name 5 times then hellen comes to kill him.
its not so realistic but its better than hellraiser 4 and upwards. ive tried to call the candyman and in the film they call his name 5 time then turn the lights out then he comes to kill you. the legend is quite interesting but the film is pretty boring, and disappointing.i bought it because it looked good and at first it was ok but wen you watch it more than once it gets sort of boring.

Teenage fav, but reserved for that age bracket.
Tony Todd is a great actor. There is my one good thing to say about this film. Since the DVD offers nothing spectacular all you can talk about is the movie itself. There are next to no features. Despite the hype, I know I'm gonna get drilled for this one, Candyman isn't a very good movie. The words "intelligent" and "horror movie" seldom share the same sentence. It's like the two words are at war with each other. This movie can be called "classic horror" in the respect it holds to the grand tradition of horror being poorly thought out and an excuse to weave a poor storyline around violence and gore. The character of Candyman is strongly born out of the Bloody Mary urban legends and given a polished politically correct melanin increase. He has a hook and an army of bees to assist his terrorizing of the rundown urban community that is the focus of this film. This first film doesn't give his character any depth and later films we are almost glad they didn't. Candyman just isn't very scary. Malevolent spirit in a mirror sounds like a good idea. It prys upon people's fear of mirrors. This has been a popular literary well to draw from because it is such a popular phobia, but Candyman just does it very poorly.

they tried to make art but made something different
You have to like a movie that rips off from the artiest movie of them all, Koyannasqatsi (my video guidebook says Phillip Glass did the music and you can tell if you know "Koy..."). Its a cheesily pretentious fun movie, but its not very scary or eeire. It proves that Clive Barker really doesn't know how to scare anyone, but his movies are still ok... way better than Jason X !

Ginger Snaps
Released in DVD by Artisan Entertainment (26 March, 2002)
MPAA Rating: Unrated
Director: John Fawcett
Starring: Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle
Like Carrie before it, Ginger Snaps uses horror-movie conventions as an inspired metaphor for puberty. When beautiful but reclusive goth teenager Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) is attacked by a monstrous wolf on the eve of her first period, her body starts changing in a big way, as do her suddenly lusty, feral appetites. Director John Fawcett masterfully balances the expectations of teen horror exploitation (blood, bodies, sex, smart dialogue, and good old-fashioned monster-movie scares) with clever black humor and tender sisterly solidarity. Only devoted sister Brigitte (gloomy Emily Perkins) knows the truth, and even as Ginger's abrupt transformation threatens their once unbreakable friendship, bonds of blood and love keep them together: Brigitte disposes of Ginger's victims while searching for a cure. Mimi Rogers costars as their dotty but unexpectedly sensitive mom, ready to sacrifice all to protect her daughter. Blood and blood ties have never been more evocative. --Sean Axmaker

Don't buy! Get the Canadian DVD from Amazon in Canada!!!!
This is a horrible dvd version of a great movie. Full Screen, not dolby surround NO EXTRAS, no insert card, a black and white label.... The Canadian version is Widescreen, dolby 5.1, has deleted scenes, commentary, an insert card...you get the picture. Amazon Canada has it, it works on US DVD players, and it's only a couple of bux more once you convert the dollars...and as usual, amazon is amazing and I got mine within 24 hours!!!

please keep away from this movie !

Lives up to the hype
After hearing a lot about this movie in horror chat rooms, I decided to give it a shot. The two sisters who are the main characters are well portrayed with humor and compassion. It's nice to see young talented actors instead of overpaid stars who are popular because of their cheesy TV shows. If you ever got picked on in school, you'll find yourself siding with these two Goth-type girls against their preppy counterparts. Lots of black humor without becoming idiotic, thanks to the intelligent script. A great example of how movies don't need huge budgets to be successful. The overuse of CGI is one of the main things holding back the horror genre today; Ginger Snaps also represents a refreshing return to good ol' makeup and latex effects. Highly recommended.

Child's Play
Released in DVD by Mgm/Ua Studios (17 July, 2001)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Tom Holland
Starring: Catherine Hicks and Chris Sarandon
Horror maestro Tom Holland (Fright Night) brought wit and devilish energy to this 1988 scarefest about a murderer (Brad Dourif) who wills his soul into an innocuous doll named Chucky, and reveals himself only to the toy's owner, a frightened little boy. Catherine Hicks plays the child's mother, and Chris Sarandon a detective; neither of them knows what to make of the kid's story. Monster-doll stories are always wonderfully surreal, and Child's Play is no exception. Holland oversees some finely tuned special effects that allow Chucky to express himself and do some damage--it is truly unnerving but somehow good, subversive fun. --Tom Keogh
Average review score:

Laughable at least
Child's Play is the kinda movie one would think up in a nightmare: an evil doll who runs around with a knife stabbing people. I know this film tried to be scarey and tried to give a reasonable explanation for why a doll is going around stabbing folks, but it didn't work.

OK, Chucky is a doll possessed by some evil guy's soul thanks to some voodoo dude. Already this is laughable. So this doll, for no real reason, goes on this rampage of stabbing anybody it wants and laughing as he does it. I mean, nothing is scarey about this. One minute a woman is walking around in the house, the next thing you know there's this red-headed doll, in overalls, screaming and stabbing her. Then after it does its butchering it scurries away laughing like a A-typical villain.

Please, if I took my teddy bear, installed fake dracula fangs in its mouth and gave it a cattle prod as a weapon, my form of "child's play" would be much more scary.

Not to mention the way this doll talks is funny. It cusses, it makes these stupid grunts, and these "one liners" that does little to entertain you. It would be far more entertaining if Chucky accidentally drowned himself in the washer or finds himself getting molested and torn to shreds by the family's super horny pet.

And this is yet another monster movie where the monster won't die at the end. That's right, you kill it, but it comes back. You kill it again, think it's dead, but suddenly attacks you again around the corner. Kill it again, think it's dead this time, but comes after you again. Then when it dies, you think to yourself "why am I watching this movie?"

I'm sorry, nothing proves to be a bad movie than a monster that has to die a million different ways before the film can end. I would rather have seen someone just flush Chucky down the toilet than have this stupid head lying on the carpet saying "get them, get them!" How utterly stupid.

I don't suggest you watch this movie. But if you get your kicks by watching corny horror movies that are meant to make you scared but end up making you get belly aches from laughing, then be my guest. Otherwise, find a quality movie.

This is the end.. friend.
3 stars and a half is a fair rating for this hokey horror film. It's lack of explaination for the demonic doll's motives and existence raise questions, but getting into all that might have placed lag times on the fun factor. That's what this film wants to be and it is.. FUN. I mean there is some mumbo jumbo in the beginning about how Chucky comes about but it's silliness. The fun and horror begin when Chucky attacks right before he's threatened by a 6 year old boy's mother who is trying to convince everyone that her son is not crazy. Well they soon find out he's not. It starts off, mom doesn't believe 6 year old son, then detective doesn't believe mom, followed by no one believes anything until they see it. "Child's Play" spawned numorous clones and sequels but this one is the BEST.

Killer Doll on the Rampage!
I have to admit that Child's Play was a movie that I didn't think I would like and that is one of the reasons I never went to see it when it was in the movie theaters but one night the movie was on TV and I wound up watching it and to my surprise I actually wound up liking it. The movie has it's creepy moments but it also has witty dialogue and I thought Catherine Hicks (Star Trek V), Christopher Sarandon (The Princess Bride) and the boy who played Andy were good and I think this would be a great movie to watch anytime but especially on Halloween. I want to own Child's Play on DVD but it's only pan and scan and I'm waiting for a special widescreen edition DVD to come out.

I Didn't Like it!
I like Stephen King who I think is a terrific writer and I like scary movies. Out of the books I read by Stephen King Salem's Lot wasn't one of them and usually I will read a book first before I watch a movie based on the book but when Salem's Lot was shown on TV in 1979 I watched it and I just didn't like it and it really turned me off, it even turned me off from reading the book which as much as I like Stephen King I will probably never read that book! Sorry, but I have seen better movies and TV shows about vampires.

I like the Book better!!
This is another bad movie for a really good book, they actually change some of the story, cut some characters, an made it a very silly movie, the book it's very scary, the movie is not that scary at all.
If you like Stephen as I do, buy the movie, but if you want to see a scary movie, keep searching

Salem's Lot, I wish that was my town's name
an ok adaption from Tobe Hooper, director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 and 2, The Funhouse, and Poltergiest, which he made out of a bestselling Stephen King book. Vampires are in the town of Salem's Lot and people start missing. the cast include David Soul, Bonnie Bedelia, George Dzundza, Geoffrey Lewis, Fred Willard and James Mason and many others. some truly memorable scenes involving David Soul and the kid going after the master. this was made in 1979 and its NOT RATED.

Sick, twisted film about goth-looney Snider who abducts young people through an online chat site and tortures them in his own little house of horrors (wall to wall S&M, body piercing etc). Gloomy, poorly written junk that not only thrives in non-stop unpleasantness but subjects an innocent girl not once but twice to Sniders wretched wrath. Anyone who views this as entertainment needs their own head checked.

a memorable horror masterpiece
strangeland is about a man who seduces young girls to his house via internet chat pretending to be a typical high school boy but and proceeds to torture them and pierce there skin until they go into cardiac arrest and die. Our manipulative killer played by lead actor director of this movie dee snider from twisted sister has kidnapped a detectives daughter and is playing mind games with the detective daring him to find him and the detective atually does find him and sends him to jail but he pleaded insanity and was sent to a mental hospital for four years and was then released back into his neighbour hood where the townspeople still believe he is evil, and he is and he kidnaps the detectives daughter again wich leads to an exiting finale. A very good movie about something that's so capable of happening it really frightens you and a great soundtrack to go along with the movie. highly reccomended

one of the best horror films ever
a must see for the young and teenage girls and boys, this movie is not for the faint of heart or the squemish. the tale of a pyschopath named Capt Howdy (played brilliantly by Dee Snider, lead singer of the now defunct rock band Twisted Sister) who prowls chat rooms for teenage girls who he then seduces into his lair where he tortures them with piercing and taunts his prey.
the movie is ninety minutes long and is quite fast paced, maybe too fast paced judging by some of the reviews here. i was quite shocked to see people did not like this. taking the computer and the internet and making a modern day horror in the vein of SILENCE OF THE LAMBS was a stroke of genius. Dee Snider was working on this since 1984's STAY HUNGRY. it was the birth of his daughter (and the fear he cannot protect her) that inspired him to write "Horror-teria" (on STAY HUNGRY) which consisted of the songs "CAPT HOWDY" and "STREET JUSTICE"
The movie is quite graphic at times but i think kids need to see that so they are aware that of the dangers of the internet. this is one of the most frightening movies i have ever watched because it could happen. it is not too far from reality. i find some of this movie quite realistic. i can explain jason of friday the 13th and halloween away to my kids as "just a movie" but this one is so real at times, it is a little harder to brush off.
as for the DVD features, there is the trailer, some production notes, a good commentary by writer/producer Dee Snider, and some stuff on the soundtrack. worthy of your attention is the soundtrack. if you like the music in this film then you will love the soundtrack. it is as awesome as the movie.

The Master of Horror returns
I was happy to see that Stephen King had made another Suspensful, yet successful movie from his book.
The Langoliers is a movie of 10 surviving passengers aboard flight 29, and when they awake to no one on the plane and to no one on the ground, they know something wrong happened, very wrong. It seems they have traveled to the past through a time rip that was mistaken to be the nothern lights. A man aboard the plane named Craig Toomey, somehow knows what the things called the Langoliers are after being tormented by his father all his life with them. After Realizing that the Langoliers are coming, the remaining passengers leave and fly back through the rip.

It turns out that Mr. Toomey dosen't know half of what The Langoliers are. It turns out that the past can be as little as a second, and once that second is used the present moves forward along with all living, and working things; The Langoliers job is to clean up after time, by eating the past.
Great acting and so-so effects, make this movie an even greater title for your collection.
