The Yellow Rose of Texas
Released in DVD by Gotham Distribution (18 March, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Roy Rogers
Average review score:

Above average Roy Rogers, below average DVD transfer . . .
. . . but if you pay under [dollar amount] for a DVD, you can't really complain. Unfortunately, all of Roy's movies will probably be shuffled off to DVD with just as little care. The sound crackles sometimes, and some of Dale's delightful solos are a bit distorted; the picture is fuzzier sometimes than others (even "jumps" once, as though it were a tape), and you have to turn the volume up pretty high compared to typical DVD.

Though the quality leaves at least as much to be desired as one would expect considering the price, "Yellow Rose of Texas" is above average Roy Rogers fare. Included are the classic framed man with a beautiful daughter (Dale, of course), Roy's undercover identity as insurance agent, a stunt with Trigger to save a boy in a runaway wagon, a multi-fisted fight featuring the Sons of the Pioneers (minus Pat Brady, since this is 1944), the classic shot of black "blood" dripping through two ceiling boards to give away the winged fugitive (at a rate that says he must have hit an artery and is in serious need of a transfusion!), and lots more great nostalgia inducers. One number by the Sons of the Pioneers, "Timber," is musically even better than usual. It's also interesting to see Dale Evans before that "Queen of the West" persona, which she was originally so against, was firmly established; you'll hear her sing and see her pout those pretty lips, but she won't be riding a horse. (This is partially due, of course, to the fact that much of this setting has to do with riverboats and shows rather than ranches and the frontier.) Even her hair is different than the typical "Cowgirl Dale" look that we fans take for granted.

All in all, if you want to see Roy and Dale in restored glory, don't bother with the Alpha Video releases. But if you want to see them on DVD at all, you may have to settle for these, and "Yellow Rose of Texas" is a perfect place to start.

Britney Spears - Star Baby Scrapbook
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (05 September, 2000)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Britney Spears
You'll see more of Britney Spears in a 30-second soft-drink commercial than you will in the 48-minute Star Baby Scrapbook. In the best tradition of unauthorized "biographies," it draws its main content from interviews with next-door neighbors, her hairdresser and dentists, and other residents of Kentwood, Louisiana; a schoolmate and third-grade teacher from Parklane Academy; and even an aunt and first cousin! (One credit: "Kristie Price: Danced with Britney.") Childhood photos (some reused) provide the main visual interest, and the narrative tracks her early career through her 1993 acceptance for the Mouseketeers, which led to Kentwood's giddy "Britney Spears Day" celebration. The only footage of Britney is grainy home video of her signing autographs and introducing a performance and taking bows afterward (in between, you get to see a few stills). For the insatiable Britney fan only. --David Horiuchi

A complete waste
O.k. this is just a waste of money... If you wan't to see Britney Spears I'd advise you to get Britney Spears Live and More, or Time Out with Britney Spears... This video has absolutely no Britney Spears in it at all, and no music videos and just plain nada... Unless, you are a collector on Britney Spears items that would be the only logical reason of getting this video... I don't like reading books and I found Britney Spears Heart to Heart book more interesting than this! I give it two thumbs down

What The Heck?!
There is no Britney on this stupid DVD at all! No singing. And the interviews get boring after a few minutes. This is not a good choice for fans at all. Buy "Time Out with Britney Spears" because the whole thing is Britney Spears and has music videos and behind the scenes stuff. This sux, I tell you! Two thumbs down. BOO!

Starbaby? Star-YES!
This movie is a brilliant biography of the queen herself. In this video, you visit britney's hometown, a place where everyone fears God. You meet a creepy "music reviewer" who works in a trailer down by a wharf, and whose eyelashes are all gooey from weeping over britney. You'll meet her old friends who she left behind, choking on her southern dust. you'll see the look of ultimate loss and confusion in their pitiful, dewy eyes. And then you'll see them jump on a trsmpoline!!! Fun for all!

Life With Father
Released in DVD by Gotham Distribution (04 June, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Michael Curtiz
Starring: William Powell, Irene Dunne, and Elizabeth Taylor
Ah, remember those good old days when father ruled the roost, keeping a tight rein on the money, the kids, and the docile wife? Well, neither does Clarence Day (William Powell), the title character in Life with Father. Taking place in New York in 1883, this charming comedy purports to show the life of a strict father managing his house and his family, only to be constantly--and unknowingly--out-manipulated by his somewhat ditzy wife, Vinnie (Irene Dunne). Day is terrifying enough that maids keep quitting, but Vinnie manages to keep Day under control--that is, until she discovers that he was never baptized. A battle ensues as she desperately tries to ensure that they will one day meet in heaven, and all the while he severely maintains that the church has no business messing with a man's soul. Meanwhile, young Clarence Day Jr. (Jimmy Lydon) is busy falling for visiting Mary Skinner (played gigglingly by Elizabeth Taylor), and his brother John concocts a money-making scheme that involves the selling of a rather dubious potion. The costumes, the characters, and the wonderful story line--based on a play that was based on the memoir written by Clarence Day Jr.--make this a delightful movie that's perfect for a family-film night. --Jenny Brown

Terrible quality DVD!
The movie is WONDERful - but this particular DVD is horrible!! It's very fuzzy and the sound is so muffled. It really has the qualities of a 'bootleg' dvd. You can find the movie by other distributers in much cleaner, clearer condition. The movie itself is timeless, adorable and so charming - just purchase it from another distributer.

Madacy DVD quality is poor but watchable
I agree that the picture and sound quality of the Madacy DVD is poor, but I do find it watchable by turning up the contract and color on my TV. This film is in the public domain (copyright protection was lost) so Warner Brothers (Turner) will probably never spend the money to restore and release the film in a quality product. Where there is no copyright protection anyone can copy and sell the product. The print used to master the Madacy DVD was probably a 16mm dupe, the negative being made from another print causing the fuzzy generation loss. Finding a good original 16mm or 35mm Technicolor print to use for a master is next to impossible. Unless Turner feels it has enough of a market to warrant the expense of restoring and releasing an unprotected picture, we are stuck with what we get from public domain distributors. Maybe Criterion will come through once again.

Nothing Wrong with My Copy
There seems to be much confusion about the quality of this DVD release. I purchased it from this page and received a release from Alpha Video, although the information here says Gotham (are they the same ?). In any case the quality is quite acceptable to me. The picture is clear and the color is surprisingly good for the age of the picture. Also I found no problem whatever with the sound. It appears there is another version of this movie, from Madacy, which people may be confusing with this one. This version has no extras of any sort, and there are no claims of refurbishing. The movie itself of course is a classic.

Girls Gone Wild - Best of Volume 3 Uncensored

Not Bad For Some Cheap Thrills and Laughs.......
I read some of the previous posts on this Best Of... collection, and I have to disagree with calling all the girls in this video ugly. Not Nice and Totally Relative. Most of the girls on this collection are good looking and if you saw them in real life you would sweat over them! The gentlemen that feel these girls are ugly are sitting around in their home waiting for Miss America to knock on their door! Good Tape! Only thing missing is music(obviously was playing in the background but blocked out to avoid music publishing rights). Plus the whole thing is staged! It's not a real Spring Break! These are hired girls! I guarantee!

Good Clean (Naked) Fun!
If you have wanted to see what your daughter will do during Spring Break for some cheap, Chinese plastic necklaces; watch this documentary! Filled with girls (not women) who will show their ta-tas for just about any reason. I know now where to go for Spring Break! This is not a movie, but a documentary. There is only one camera angel, so do not expect a director's cut! However, if you want to see young girls Going Wild, this is for you!

Documentary Gone Wild
As a Baby Boomer this was my first purchase of a Girls Gone Wild product. I was not disappointed in the least bit. This documentary explores the climates surrounding Spring Break and Mardi Gras. Beautiful young college girls get nude for beads to the roar of a delighted crowd. After wathcing this one I'm hooked on these type of videos and will be adding "Girls Gone Wild: Extreme" and "America's Wildest Bachelor Parties" to my new collection.

Baise-Moi
Released in DVD by Remstar Distribution (18 December, 2001)
MPAA Rating: Unrated
Directors: Coralie and Virginie Despentes
Starring: Karen Lancaume and Raffaëla Anderson
Not for the faint-hearted. Baise-Moi defies categories--it features pornographic sex scenes and violent shootings, but it won't fit anyone's definition of an erotic thriller. After separately committing murders, two French women join together in a spree of crime and sex. Because both have endured abuse at the hands of men, the movie seems to start as a self-righteous parable--but the women's actions quickly degenerate into amoral, near random killings, with women shot as casually as men. One reviewer described Baise-Moi as "Thelma & Louise with actual penetration," but it's actually Thelma & Louise without Hollywood sentiment. By refusing to condemn or justify the protagonists' actions, and by depicting both sex and violence with unglamorous realism, Baise-Moi forces the viewer to respond in the most contradictory and basic ways. You may find the lead characters surprisingly sympathetic. Jarring, unsettling, and well worth watching. --Bret Fetzer

Le Peeeeeeew!!!!!
This film was pretty lame. It was also quite boring, even with a short running time. Maybe the film would be at least partially enjoyed if it weren't promoted to be something it isn't. We're talking about nothing more than trashy B cinema here, and it should have been promoted as such. Instead it seemed like the joke was on the audience, having been lured into this movie by it's gag only to find out it was a cruddy Thelma and Louise wannabe. Baise-Moi isn't as original as it seems to think it is either. Remember the other attempt to bring hardcore sex to mainstream film, Caligula? Remember that failed as well? Before you storm the foreign section for this title, desperate to see what the big deal is, I'd suggest taking home Caligula instead. It may be 70 minutes longer, but it's not nearly as boring and you'll get many more laughs out of it.

Baise Moi In The Eyes Of A 13 Year Old
Well it all started when my french mum was recomended this film by a french friend. I thought the movie was very awful i was gaging in pain at the rape scene, even half closing my eyes, even the sound made me feel sick. Story? Well this movie has not much of a story, just a pornstar and prostitute get revenge after being violently raped by a gang of thugs. They end up going on a roadtrip killing anyone in their way. What also bothers me is the fact that some of the reviewers here found this movie eyecandy when watching this movie is like watching a snuff. Sure its okay to enjoy porno, but rape(with violence) that is very sick. The sex scenes are very graphic and real, even though the violence is fake however it looked pretty realistic. After watching this movie my parents and i agreed that this is the worst movie ever. Oh and i read a review by someone here and they said something like this movie makes "i spit on your grave" look like a pg-13 movie, well i gotta say it did to. ...

Two stars for the rape scene....
I thought I had reviewed this film already....but in checking out the site, I noticed Amazon negated my review...so I'll try again!
Come on perv's out there....why buy this film if not for the "graphic" sex scenes right? Well, the rape scene was graphic, however, it failed in all other aspects miserably! This is one senseless violent act after another comitted by two rather normal looking, cheap whores! I wouldn't waste my money on this one...in fact, I returned it to the store I bought it from!
Enough said?

Radar Men From The Moon
Released in DVD by Ryko Distribution - Video (26 September, 2000)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Fred C. Brannon
Average review score:

There are much better serials
Well, you know, a good old-time serial needs either a wonderful hero or a wonderful villain, or preferably both. The Flash Gordon series has both in the persons of Buster Crabbe and Charles Middleton. The Dick Tracy series has Ralph Byrd as the detective. The Phantom Creeps and the Return of Chandu have Bela Lugosi as a superb villain and surprisingly good good guy, respectively. I could go on. Unfortunately, Radar Men from the Moon has neither. The acting is stilted and stiff and one can hardly imagine why anyone would be afraid of the villain, the leader of the Moon who plans to invade the Earth. It has its campy moments and an occasional good special effect, like Commando Cody's frequent flying and a melting mountain, but these only make the film OK, not good. The list of better serials is long, but if you already have them, this is tolerable as background while you are answering email.

Beginning of the end...
This was a reasonable attempt to keep the serial genre going, but this was when such science fiction movies as DESTINATION MOON, THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD, and even ROCKETSHIP XM and THE MAN FROM PLANET X were starting an era of science-fiction movies of variable quality. Also, TV was encroaching on the territory... And so Republic tried to get on the s-f bandwagon. But this serial hardly had the sense of wonder of FLASH GORDON: THE SPACE SOLDIERS, THE UNDERSEA KINGDOM, BUCK ROGERS, etc. Much of it is earthbound, and mired down in typical failed attempts of the bad guys to get the needed materials with which to conquer the world. This does belong in any serial lover's library, but there are classics that I would recommend buying first, and then include this one after you have several of the unquestionable greats.

Larry Smith, the Lone Masked Guy
OK, a fun serial released the year of my birth. Moon men, Rocket ship/s, art deco design cool looking lab machines. a flying heroic scientist and inventor of the flying suit, when he wears it he is known as COMMANDO CODY, Sky Marshall of the Universe who ' flies 'in long shots by the same method created for the 1941 serial ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN MARVEL, a lifesize mannequin sliding down (or up depending on the camera trick) a wire but it looks cool to me. Moon men want to invade the Earth and send their first group to prepare the way. Only ONE man can hope to stop them (since this serial does'nt have Superman, Batman or any other heroes): Commando Cody who by the way is a basic human BUT maybe more of a 007 James Bond type human so he stands a chance. Glorious B&W with slam bang action but NOT modern movie hairy chested action mind you. Kids may watch lots of R rated movies today but in 1952, there were hardly any movies like these then and Cody was a family type action adventure movie in 12 or more parts with cliffhangers. A cliffhanger was where at the end of a part, someone usually the hero or one of the hero's friends looked like they might die and so you had to see the next part to see what happens. If you ever get the chance, see KING OF THE ROCKET MEN too, the first Commando Cody serial.

Darrin's Dance Grooves
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (01 January, 2001)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Darrin Henson
Learn some of the hottest dance moves you've seen in music videos, award shows, and concerts from the likes of Britney Spears, 'N Sync, and Jordan Knight from this 55-minute video. Darrin Henson moves with limbs of taffy as he teaches the energetic and innovative moves he choreographed for the biggest celebrities. He breaks down the patterns into individual moves, then quickly puts the moves together, and then you perform the pattern with video clips from the stars for whom it was choreographed. Great fun! Unless you're blessed with instant recall, though, you'll need to rewind segments of the tape frequently to learn the moves. And unfortunately, Henson cues his own "right" and "left" instead of the viewer's (the opposite, because you're facing him), so you have to continually reverse his directions in order to mirror his moves. Recommended for limber, experienced dancers--coordination required! --Joan Price
Average review score:

Horrible!
I was very disappointed with this video. Darrin does not do a good job of breaking the routines down. He teaches an 8 count slowly but does not go into detail with each move. Then, he just keeps adding on 8 count sections in slow motion until the end and then expects you to just do the whole routine in regular time from the beginning. Because he does not go into a lot of detail, you have to watch him very carefully and there are times when the camera only shows his upper body, so it is absolutely impossible to know what your legs/feet are supposed to do. The routines are short and there are songs from only three artists/groups. I was very frustrated trying to learn these routines and i've been dancing for almost 20 years, since I was 5. Don't waste your money on this one, folks.

Darrin u 2 be bad
The video seriously disappointed me. I love working out to dance work out videos, but this has been the worst. I like to to dance, but it takes a comprehensive break down of each 8 count for me and then practice at the normal beat of each 8 count before I can move one to a new set. If you are like that too, I recommend getting something else before buying this one. I do recommend Paula Abdul's Get up and Dance. She breaks down each 8 count and then practices each 8 count up to tempo before moving on. It is challenging and yet completely doable and offers a great way to sweat off some calories, whereas with Darrin's Dance Grooves, I didn't feel any real calorie burning sweat at all.

Not what I expected but still good.
Darrin does a really good job at breaking down the moves, just as advertised. I suppose my expectations were too high, but it was a good video. I just wish each routine were a bit longer. I'm used to doing longer dances so the 30 second routines were a bit disappointing. But otherwise, worth the money.

Metropolis
Released in DVD by Gotham Distribution (19 February, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: Fritz Lang
Starring: Alfred Abel and Brigitte Helm
Fritz Lang's Expressionistic masterwork continues to exert its influence today, from Chaplin's Modern Times to Dr.  Strangelove, and into the late 1990s with Dark City. In the stratified society of the future (Y2K no less), the son of a capitalist discovers the atrocious conditions of the factory slaves, falling in love with the charismatic Maria in the bargain, who preaches nonviolence to the workers. But even the benevolent leadership of Maria is a challenge to the privileged class, so they have the mad-scientist Rotwang concoct a robot double to take her place and incite the workers to riot. The story is melodrama, but it's the powerful imagery that is so memorable. One of the most arresting images has legions of cowed workers filing listlessly into the great maw of the all-consuming machine-god Moloch. Unfortunately, the print used for this DVD is unfocused, scratchy, and five minutes short, altogether unworthy of a visionary masterpiece. It may be too much to hope for the complete film to be restored (only two hours of the original three-hour film are extant), but a clean transfer from a fine-grain negative ought to be possible. And why, when there are other possible future Metropolises to be had, should we downtrodden masses accept this junk? If anyone wonders what became of Moloch, now they can stop guessing; he's alive and well and making debased DVD versions such as this one. --Jim Gay
Average review score:

A Great film,BEWARE OF PUBLIC DOMAIN VERSIONS!
"Metropolis",Fritz Lang's 1927 silent masterpiece,is one of the most important films ever made and also a great one! But over the years, this film has been reedited, recut, and shortened which ruins the exact vision of an extrordinary filmmaker.Since its stay on the Public Domain shelf, the prints and image quality have over the years been poor.I DO NOT recommend the following versions:1.the Goodtimes Video release has poor image quality and even worse,NO MUSICAL SCORE! 2.The now-notorious Madacy DVD, which is about 5 times as worse as the Goodtimes video release, contains horrible, blurry image quality,freeze-frame opening titles, and an annoying musical score! Just recently,TCM (Turner Classic Movies) has broadcast the brand-new,beautifully restored 2002 restoration of "Metropolis" which I taped off of and trust me,it's well worth it! Buy the Kino restored version on either VHS or DVD,but DO NOT buy the horrible Public Domain versions which can definitely rip you off! A Terrific film and thanks to Kino for making this restored version a definite must-see! I also recommend the 1984 rerelease by Giorgio Moroder (which is now unfortunately out-of-print)and buy the soundtrack to go with it!

Historical Masterpiece, Terrible DVD
I never saw Metropolis except for small sections referenced by other films. It always appealed to me and I finally took a risk buying this used for cheap. Even at an inexpensive price I'd strongly advise to skip this version.

As others have noted the trasfer is terrible, the music is good but sound quality is terrible too. Having watched this version of Metropolis I was able to get some kind of plot out of it and even with the poor film transfer the imagry is at times stunning.

Here's my advice; if you just have to see Metropolis and do not want to pay the substantially high price of the Kino version buy this copy, but understand...and please take my word on this as I'm one of the people that made a similar decision, know that you are getting poor quality all around.

Whether this will ruin the film's experience for you has more to do with your aesthetics. Metropolis has major historical importance and watching it I could see where other favorite dystopian films liberally borrowed ideas. In the end it was acceptable for the price I paid. I would not buy this new and would cough up the extra money and get the Kino version if buying it new. I will be purchasing the latest DVD eventually just to be able to enjoy the superior quality.

5 stars for the film being wonderful 0 stars for the quality. The average would be 2.5 and although it's a great film Metropolis is gutted by this poor DVD. When reading reviews it is easy to take it personal, that a poor review of the DVD (a product) in some way says something negative towards the film on it. In this review the quality of the film is the only reason more than one star was given.

My last parting shot...
The reason I even bothered with the Mandacy product was because so many negative reviews on Amazon have been baseless or inane one line insults I have become numb to them. Take it from a usually easy to please reviewer. Stay away from this DVD.

GREAT Movie - Poor DVD!
METROPOLIS is in simple words a classic long in the making, and probably a major inspiration for George Lucas' STAR WARS films, and many other major science-fiction films to be decades later from its' initial release in 1926. Film also works as a major triumph of human relations with the idea of slavery workers, and rebelling against greater authority. Plus what can go wrong when power falls into the wrong hands. Rudolf Klein-Rogge's Rotwang is an unforgettable character, and the creation of the robot scene is still an eye-filler even long before CG effects technology some 60 years later.

The DVD quality is poor however, as the color contrast is lacking from the color contrast from the original negatives seen on VHS releases. The trivia sections are nice, but what is missing is an audio commentary, or any existence history of the making of the film which should prove very interesting. I'm sure it won't be long before such a version comes to be.

TRIVIA: Brigitte Helm was one of James Whale's choices to play the Monster's Mate in BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN before Elsa Lanchester got the part.

Lenny Kravitz - Live (Limited Edition)
Released in DVD by Emi Distribution (26 November, 2002)

Starring: Lenny Kravitz

Lenny live what???
Well I must say I was quite disappointed by this dvd. I was looking forward to buy Lenny's first live concert on dvd ever since I have never had the chance to get to see him live. But I soon realized it was a bad copy of Madonna's "Truth or Dare"... backstage footage and some ruined live track. When songs are almost complete they are spoken over. Lights and photography and sound and colors are all right that's why it deserves 2 stars out of five rather then 1 or even none. Looking forward to a real live concert or a single video collection at least!

Lenny Kravitz - Live
Looks and sounds great, but Lenny's ego gets in the way of what could have been a really good show.

Lenny "Live" Rules!
Lenny "Live" is a very well thought out DVD. If you navigate around it's options, you can have any style DVD you want with some very cool extras. But please do not expect to find a song on here that is not on the list. But there is a very cool acoustic version of "Can't Get You Off Of My Mind" at the end of the DVD. So are you ready to take a stroll into some cool parts of the DVD? Cool!
The DVD opens with a very cool remake of Earth Wind and Fire's "Shining Star" with different pictures in the DVD framing in the background. If you love the song, it will loop over and over if you let it and the song will never end and you will not be able to tell where it ends either since there are no gaps in the loop. Great thought! You will have a main menu in front of you. The selections are "Live", "Song Selection", Special Features",and "Sound". the "Live" selection will take you through parts of songs as well as Lenny backstage, on the road and in his Miami home, which is very cool! You will also get a glimpse into the music business politics he is so frustrated with after 13 years of trying to do what is right for music and not the CEOs of the record industry. Some great goofing around scenes in there as well. The "Song Selections" option lets you start the "Live" format from any point in the DVD. So if you are hooked on a certain part, you can play it when you load up the DVD. The DVD will continue to play the rest of the DVD from that point you select. The "Special Features" selection will gives you the ability to just play the live tracks in their entirety for those who just want the music. It also gives you an interview of Lenny done by Mark Seliger and an interview of Lenny's 90 year old Grandfather done by Lenny. Very cool interview too! You also have the out takes located in there. The funniest has to be "Lenny's Biggest Fan". This guy is so funny to watch on how he is getting off on the song "Are You Gonna Go My Way". It's almost like watching a Deadhead flowing to the jam. There is also "Sy's Groupies" where you get to see Lenny's Dad and some friend's chat on the tour bus. Then you have "Lenny Shaves" where he busts on the camera guy who is following him everywhere. "Hold My Calls" is a very cool out take. Someone was not able to make the concert and her friends called her on the phone. Well, Lenny got their phone, called her and then played a song for her. Some funny stuff with that whole scene too. "You've Got A Demo" is where some guy who has no clue who he is asks him for one. This area also goes into the arraigning of the songs for the 2002 World Tour. Finally in the Out Takes there is "That's Still A Young Man" where Lenny snags himself with his age as he talks about his life to his manager, who was also the manager for Jimmi Hendrix! The "Sound" selection lets you choose between stereo and surround sound. A great option in my opinion.
So Lenny and Mark gave the fans almost every option they could in the DVD. You can see behind the scenes or just listen to the whole concert. You can watch some interviews, watch your favorite song or part over and over and choose what sound you want as well. The live performances are incredible as I think Lenny has the best live shows around. There are so many other great parts and funny scenes I left out because I'm not giving it away! This is a very cool DVD! Oh, and if you think the sound is too loud, try turning down the volume on your TV. But if you think it's not loud enough, as I do, run it through your stereo and blast away! Lenny will take you deep into his funky soul and leave you charged and wanting more. I "Believe" you will watch this DVD "Again" and "Again". Let Love Rule!

Shark Hunter
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (23 July, 2002)
MPAA Rating: R (Restricted)
Director: Matt Codd
Average review score:

shark fan
if you want to check out an entertaining movie about megalodons, the 60 foot prehistoric sharks then check out shark attack 3 over this film. not much action in this film, more story driven than anything really. not a whole lot of victims and the shark looks terrible, looks like a shark that just cralwed out of its grave or somethin, not sure what they were thinkin when they put it together. would stay away from this film. jaws and shark attack and deep blue sea are the movies to go for.

Big shark in a tiny movie...
I rented Shark Hunter expecting a cheap and cheesy b-movie with some unimpressive monster shark stuff. On some levels I got just what I expected, but on others there where a few surprises (especially in the last thirty minutes or so). The shark looks pretty good and, surprise, behaves just like a shark. It isn't classic, just solidly made time waster fodder that is somewhat better than Octopus or Tentacles. Recommended.

4 almost a 5
If you like the flashy expensive movies with state of the art technology and great special affects. Then Shark Hunter is probably not your cup of tea. But if you like a suspensful story with more emotional background to it. Then Shark Hunter is for you.It may not have a lot of special affects but it is still a great movie. It is not like the other shark movies where the shark kills man so man kills shark. This time they are trying to capture the shark for research. But they hit a couple of huge problems. Their are more than 2 people who die from the shark. Heck within the first 10 minutes the shark kills 5 people. If you like endings that are not like the rest of the the shark movies.
