New Orleans Homecoming with Bill and Gloria Gaither and Their Homecoming Friends
Released in DVD by Emi Distribution (12 March, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Bill & Gloria Gaither
Average review score:

Great diverse music
I have seen several of the Gaither videos, and of course many of the TV show/infomercials. This is the best one, in my opinion, and a good mix of the old and the new. The Crabbe Family's "Through the Fire" was exceptional, and Charlotte Ritchie's version of "Go Rest High on the Mountain" was excellent. Both drew well-deserved standing ovations and encores. I am not sure why Ritchie does not come out from the shadows of the Easters. I am not a huge fan of the overly-twangy Easters, but "Goin' Away Party" was very good. Allison Duncan Spears also had a great song, and another standing ovation. Traditional gospel (with banjo and fiddle) was covered by the Lewis Family, and Russ Taff was great on "Praise God." There was a tolerable dose of Mark Lowry's schtick, and some other good comedy. Excellent DVD if you like this genre.

Nichole Nordeman: Legacy
Released in DVD by Emi Distribution (19 August, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Nichole Nordeman
Average review score:

For those who are wondering . . .
This product is a DVD single of the music video for Nichole's radio hit "Legacy." The 23-minute DVD also includes an optional artist commentary track for "Legacy," her live performance of "Holy" for the 2003 Dove Awards, audio clips from "Woven & Spun" and "Live at the Door," and three essays by Nichole. Highly recommended to fans of this amazing artist: a gifted writer, an angelic voice, a unique musician, and a heart deeply searching into the things of God.

Nightmare Castle
Released in DVD by Gotham Distribution (18 March, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Barbara Steele
Average review score:

A Classic Of Intense Horror and Suspense
1965: Nightmare Castle is a lesser known film starring the favorite horror film actress Barbara Steele. Barbara Steele is the spotlight and the heroine in this film, as she is always in every film she does, portraying the beautiful tragic wife of a scientist. Steven, the scientist, is unaware that his wife is having an adulterous affair with their gardner. After he discovers them in a coupling, he storms into a heated fury and extracts his revenge. Chaining the lovers to a wall in his dungeon, he beats them and tortures them with his electric machinery. They die. Years later, he remarries a look-alike of his dead wife. This is when things get scary and confusing. The ghost of the dead lovers seem to appear again and haunt the castle. The special effects may be crude in contrast to today's horror imagery, but nevertheless has a 60's and Gothic feel to it with the right punch. The music is very effective, romantic piano and light chamber orchestra, and appropriately darker in certain sections. This film is a classic and a great collection to your cult horror favorites.

It also has all the special features that were at the end of the movies like the concert footage, the videos, the girls; everything. You'd be out of your mind not to buy this. Take it from me, it is definitely worth the money. If you're still a No Limit fan or not; you need this in your collection.

Wonderful movie about a wonderful place
This is a wonderful movie about the amazing Baja California Peninsula, mainly focused on the biodiversity of the Gulf of California. The characters (marine biologists and ecologists), transmit their enthusiasm and love for this beautiful place.
There are some breathtaking views, for example a scene of a dead, floating whale fulfilling the life cycle and some gorgeous aerial views (the one I liked best is the bird's view of the observatory, which is where I happen to work). The film is focused mainly on sea and seashore life, although it also touches the Geology of the Baja California Peninsula (a nice and enlightening computer simulation) and some of its unique plant and animal life. The movie is too short for my taste, it ends before you even have a chance to savor the scenes. It left me longing for all those hundreds of hours the filmmakers say they filmed!! This movie gives you a "little, in fact too little" taste of one of the most beautiful places on Earth! If you love Baja, this movie will bring tears into your eyes! I really recommend it!

One Armed Swordsmen
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (19 August, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Jimmy Wang Yu
Average review score:

Two Great Masters Unite!!
Whoever thought to put the two one armed swordsmen together was a genius!
David and Wang Yu(plus other Shaw Studio statrs) give the One Armed series a last hoorah.
The plot could use some work, but certain segments are classics unto themselves.Look for the scene in a restaurant where Wang Yu shouts:`Who wants to die!'.Only he can pull off such a line convincingly.
The DVD is hosted by Shaw Star Philip Ko Fei who demonstrates and give a terrific interview with plenty of behind the scenes stories.
Highlight of the DVD is a great interview with Wang Yu himself, and a great documentary on the Shaw Bros.,hosted by David Chiang.
You can't go wrong with this one!!

Opinion
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (12 March, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: R Va-Mullen and C Thomas
Average review score:

Just read the review please.
The DVD doesn't have any extras really, but that's okay. The whole Globe team is just great, but Rodney Mullen's part is absolubtly mind blowing. No one in the world can do what he can do on a skateboard, and if you havn't seen his part in Opinion, you absolubtly have to. Its not the best skate video ever made from a presentation standpoint or even a skating standpoint (except for Rodney's part) but its still definitely a must see video.

The Ultimate Action Sports Movie
I just got the chance to see a sneak preview of this movie at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, and I must say it is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Great surfing, great cinematography, great music. I've never stood on a surfboard before in my life and I was interested during this whole movie. BUY A COPY! You wont be disappointed.
