Best-Kept Secret in Musical Performances!!
WOW!!

I must concur with all the ratings on this Concert, its in a class all its own.

Intimate and Passionate...

I had the privilege of seeing Fred & his band at the Impact Conference in Dec of 2002, and it was simply an amazing experience.

Fred Hammond and RFC are the most underrated Acts in Gospel today. 10 or 20 yrs from now, they will be honored as Bonafide Legends of not only Gospel, but music in general.

Anyone yearning for First-Class Praise & Worship, in addition to First-Class musicianship....do yourself a favor, CHECK OUT THIS DVD/VIDEO

FRED FANS, GET IT!!! (as well as the CD)

Mentally and Spiritually Inspirational
Oh my goodness! Fred Hammond & RFC, by far are one of the best Gospel groups in the industry. I've loved Fred Hammond's music ever since I was a little child when Commissioned hit the scene back in the late 80s. This LIVE performance takes the music from his CD "POL Chapter 3" and completely turns it inside out. From the angelic harmony of RFC to the magnificent arrangements of the Live band, to just the way Jesus and His angels truly appear to be in the midst of the congregation, you WILL NOT be disappointed with this DVD purchase. If you are a Fred Hammond fan or even if you're not, this is definitely a MUST SEE!

HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT
I recently purchase the Donnie McClurkin DVD and When you are watching this video it feels like God is sitting right next to you. I mean the album was fantastic but you wouldn't really understand it if you dont' or didn't see the video. This DVD gets viewed 10-20 times a week. Its sure lifts your spirit up. DONNIE THANK YOU

God is Good!

Hearing is believing
Just a few months while watching the BET awards show I came across Donnie singing. Wondering who he was, Donnie suddenly received a reward for best gospel singer or song can't remember which of the two. But what drew my attention were the words Donnie spoke, clearly one noticed He didn't sing for people but for God. 'Live in London' is a must have for every Christian believer. Watching the video/DVD one begins to enter to the presence of the Most High God. Clearly the music is off the hook, the band and singers are truly amazing. But its the anoiting that is behind the music that dominates. How I wish to have been there that night of recording!!!

Ski Movie 2: High Society
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (08 January, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)

Best of trilogy
Never seen a better ski movie before..
Great soundtrack featuring Skindive, Dislocated styles , Jaya the cat. Sadly I can't find this soundtrack released anywhere.
Must-a-see for every skier. Snowboarders are not allowed. ;-)

/Capelle

Best of the ski movie trilogy
I've got all three of MSP's rocking flicks. 1 and 2 are must haves.. 3 is a bit of let down, but they had a lot to live up to following those two! 2 has great variety including some base jumping on Baffin island that will blow you away! I'm hoping 4 will live up to the first two!

Shanghai Snow
This Movie could'nt have gotten any more Action-Packed if Jackie Chan stared in it! But I was a little dissapointed, that I didnt get to see any "skin shots" of Wendy Fisher!

CKY4: The Latest & Greatest
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (25 March, 2003)
MPAA Rating:
Starring: Bam Margera
Average review score:

ONE WORD: WHOA
ok i have watched every single cky film, every jackass show but this one has got to be one of the funniest. The music is great but i got one question. Where can i get the songs from the movie? I particularly liked the tune in the beginning when brandon dicamillo jumps through the screen window. Does anyone know the names of these songs? o ya about the film. FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY you cannot watch this and not laugh. Thank you

bam
i would just like to comment that despite all of the hijinks and hilarity tah ensues therein, bam margera rips up philly burnside, the likes of which it has never seen before.

Then Latest & Greatest
This is the fourth CKY brought to you by Bam Margera and the CKY gang. It keeps you entertained every second. It shows extended scenes from Jackass and the previous CKY's. It also shows more and more skating and shopping carts. This is a must have for CKY fans. This dvd also has so many hidden easter eggs. Hit enter or play with your remote whenever a red heartagram appears on the screen and a hidden scene will pop up. It has great skating appearances by Mike Vallely, Geoff Rowley, Arto Saari, Mike Maldonado, and Bam. It is a great dvd and movie all together. Loads of entertainment. Tune in to see, Mike V. & Bam V.S. Security Guards, Bran's Skeletor/Beastman and Mustardman music vids, shopping carts, skating, phil, antiqued, paintball sh*tfu*k and many more scenes from the CKY gang.

Platinum Comedy Series: Dave Chappelle - Killin' Them Softly
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (15 July, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Dave Chappelle
Average review score:

COMEDIC GENIUS!
From where I am, I do not see Chapelle on HBO. But I saw this gentleman on Conan o'Brian's late night show, and was hooked. He was comfortably slumped in Conan's chair and displayed a natural sense of comic timing. A quick search on Amazon revealed that there were DVDs of his shows. I ordered. Was in store for a ribtickling hour or so. This guy is good!

In this particular cameo, he comfortably treads the line of race, social commentary, kids, the presidency, relationships and some other miscellaneous things. I could go on about the material in and of itself, but that'd only serve to spoil something that you should have no idea is coming at you.

Highly recommended for anyone who likes humor.

solid comedy
I would actually give this DVD 4 1/2 stars. It is HILARIOUS, but does have its dull moments. Chappelle did great work in this performance in Washington, D.C. a few years ago. With bits ranging from "Sesame Street" to Bill Clinton to "Downtown Washington, D.C," this DVD is a guarantee to keep you laughing for a long time. A definite buy if you are a fan of Dave Chappelle. He does great stand-up work.

A HILARIOUS DVD!!!
This is definietley one of the funniest stand up specials I have ever seen. The only one that is better is Chris Rock's "Bigger And Blacker",but not by that much.I also checked out "Cedric The Entertainer's Starting Line Up",and "D.L. Hughley Live",and this is the best! This guy tells it like it is.He talks about everything from the police to Bill Clinton to drugs to sex to cultural differences,EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!"Scared of the police" is one of the funniest stand up routines I have ever heard. He is a whole world better than Jamie Foxx. There is A LOT of swearing,so if you have young children,DO NOT let them come CLOSE to this.I'm signing off for now.In the mean time, check out the rest of the Platinum Comedy Series, including "Starting Line Up 2" which comes out October 21st.Also check out some episodes of "Chappelle's Show".I guarantee you will like it.

American Power Yoga, Strength
Released in DVD by C.A.V. Distribution (16 December, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Average review score:

Great Strength Yoga, Not Enough Hip and Back Opening
First of all, this disc is a great deal and I would recommend it to anyone who likes power yoga. It has a lot of great strength-building movements for the upper body and some for the lower body as well. It definitely delivers what it says it will. I only have two complaints: first, the disc lacks all of my favorite body-opening poses, namely the triangle series and the hip-opening poses like pigeon pose. I find that as a result I don't feel as energized, loose, balanced and strong as when I do one of Bryan Kest's or Baron Baptiste's sessions. Second, and this is only aesthetic, the teacher's manner may get on your nerves. To me that is a minor problem and the I would definitely recommend the disc.

Tough, but excellent yoga routine
I have had the pleasure of taking classes with Kurt and the other teachers in the video at their studio in Dallas. They truly have an interest in helping people to understand yoga and feel better and healthier. This video is excellent. It is very much like their sessions in the studio. It can be quite a work out and you may not be able to do all of the poses at first, but when you get to the point that you can, you feel so good about yourself. They're not afraid to fall and they demonstrate that in yoga falling, taking breaks, and not always doing the whole pose is a natural and accepted part of yoga. I definately recommend it!

Strength
I order this DVD 5 months ago. It is a great, focused workout that takes the practitioner through every part of their body, using a calm rhythmic breathing technique to link the body and the mind. The workout is great for experienced practitioners as well as the beginner because modifications are offered in each pose. So as your become more proficient in your practice this DVD still has a very challenging workout unlike other DVDs which do not always offer modifications. I even used the DVD with an injury and used the modifications to be compassionate with my injury but continue to practice. The music that accompained the practice was a great addition. I cannot wait for other DVDs from this yoga studio.

Overkill: Wrecking Everything - Live
Released in DVD by Red Distribution, In (19 November, 2002)

What metal is all about!
First rate video and sound quality captures a band that hasn't let up in 20 years. The only other band with the same age I can say this for is Slayer. It was great seeing footage of Overkill from the early years with the original line up. I've followed these guys since 1987. They're better in some ways now than they were back then. Go buy this now!

Best Live band !
I was at this live concert recorded in Asbury Park,NJ in March 23,2002 and as always with Overkill it kicks ...! Obviously dvd does not have all the concert but is a great overview of them and their great music live! This is a MUST for any TRUE metalhead if you can't get to see them live!

OVERKILL/#1
Yes,this is the one to have if your an overkill fan!
This is simply by far the best of overkill ever released.
But as you should know,if you like all the other albums
they published, their the utmost well acomplished mucians
that could have ever been born.THEY RULE,JUST LIKE THE DVD.
SOON TO COME KILLBOX13,WAIT TILL YOU GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS
NEW ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zero to Hero Skateboarding - The Basics, Vol. 1
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (08 April, 2003)
MPAA Rating: G (General Audience)
Starring: Mike Ogas
Average review score:

Pretty good.... a lot of kids in it..
Video was good and there were a bunch of kids in the dvd that were learning to skate. Not a lot of crazy tricks in the video but teaches basics....

The dvd was great
I bought this dvd for my cousin who wanted to learn how to skateboard and it was a really great dvd. The instructions were clear and by the next day she was getting the hang of things perfectly. I highly recommend this to people who really want to learn how to skateboard.

Awesome Video
This video is awesome stuff. I got it because of the help it gave a friend of mine. I have to say that this DVD is by far the best out there. If you want to learn the basics for boarding then this is the DVD to get.

The Allman Brothers Band - Live at the Beacon Theatre
Released in DVD by Bmg Distribution (VI (23 September, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
The Allman Brothers' strong, occasionally startling set on this DVD may soften those intransigent purists who won't accept the band without its original (and now fired) guitarist, Dickey Betts. The group's classic dual-guitar sound is capably covered by returning member Warren Haynes and rising star Derek Trucks (young nephew of Allmans' drummer Butch Trucks), who sounds as if he's lived and breathed the late Duane Allman's playbook since he left the cradle. Derek's barbed riffs feed the textured funk of "Statesboro Blues" and get some mileage out of filler like "Come and Go Blues," but the blissful-looking fellow's supreme moment comes when he joins Haynes in a blisteringly beautiful attack on gospel stunner "Soul Shine." Some of the material here borders on the pedestrian, but vocalist-keyboardist Gregg Allman's grizzled mastery of the blues can still lead this legendary band through some epic mysteries. --Tom Keogh

Very Good, but ...
... the setlist presented is incredible. Sure there are a few things that could've been on there, but you can't please everybody. That said, my biggest complaint is the sound. I've played it in 5.1 and stereo. Took it to a buddy's house who is hi-fi nut and same result. The mixing seems a little muddied.

This might not sound like a big deal to many people, but this was filmed and recorded by the same guys who did Widespread Panic's "Live at the backyard" released earlier this year. What a difference in the audio.

All said in done, it's no reason not to buy this. To each his own, eh?

Classic Beacon Preformance!
I have been to the Beacon for several March shows, and this is one of the best in years. (None of them were bad!) If you have never had a chance to hit NYC to see the brothers at the beacon this is a must buy! See you in March!

Freakin' at the Beacon
Sorry about that title, I couldn't think of anything clever.

Obviously, by now you don't need me to tell you to run out and buy this DVD, so instead, I'll address two complaints I read in the other reviews.

One reviewer, the Ted Nugent fan, mentions there are only two songs on disk two. Disk two is a special features disk, with over an hour of interviews and pictures. Consider the two songs a bonus, there are 20 songs, over two hours of music on disk one, for cryin' out loud.

Another reviewer complains that Derek Trucks should smile and move around more. Duane Allman used to say he would be perfectly happy if fans at ABB shows closed their eyes and just listened to the music. Miles Davis sometimes soloed with his back to the audience! The ABB are musicians, not rock stars, I suggest this reviewer check out the aforementioned Ted Nugent DVD, or Kiss or something.

My only complaint is that the DVD doesn't include "Layla", which was the encore when they played here in Chicago last July. It was brilliant.
