MC Hammer fans must have this!
All of MC Hammer's most exciting videos are featured and the sound quality is excellent! This DVD is keepsake for all the diehard Hammer fans out there!

MC Hammer Fan Essential!
I recentley got this DVD, and to say the least, I was Impressed. This DVD will remind everyone how great the Hammer really was. 15 Classic music videos are on this DVD, all with crisp sound and video we've come to excpect from DVD. MC Hammer's intruiging lyrics and mesmorising dance moves keep you glued to the screen. This DVD also incudes an "Making of Please, Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em", a great behind the scenes look at how the classic album was made. This DVD is full of energy some of today's rap stars lack. I would definetley reccomend this to any fan of MC Hammer.

Origins of Life: Four Billion Years in the Ocean
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (25 June, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Average review score:

Excellent Cinematography
This film was an eye opening experience that was truly fantastic. The music was great and appropriate for the film. The narration was well done.Does this film answer alot of questions? No.Was this film too short? Yes.All in all, it is a visual treat.

Enormously Significant
I can hardly believe this DVD has been sitting on Amazon without any reviews. I guess it just goes to show you how people are completely overlooking the most important human discovery ever and that is how life evolved on our planet for billions of years. This DVD is done masterfully and shows, using ocean creatures, how life formed on the planet. It begins with the big bang theory and moves on to how life formed on earth after billions of years of it being as barren as Mars is today.

They also show how mass extinctions have happened throughout history due to temperature changes. The mass extinctions that have happened is amazing in that life managed to triumph over such devestation to even a greater degree of beauty. They show what animals, such as the sea nautilus have gone virtually unchanged for millions of years to this day. Their underwater shots of beautiful, mysterious creatures that have evolved for millions of years helps to understand how life cannot be destroyed, no matter what blow it is given. If mass extinction ever happens on earth again, which it is destined to do based on the georaphic history, it will manage to find another place to survive in the universe. This knowledge brings me great peace, to know life always triumphs over death. I hope it does other people too. For the message this DVD conveys, it is a priceless treasure.

Pablo Montero: Videos Y Mas
Released in DVD by Bmg Distribution (VI (20 August, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Pablo Montero
Average review score:

Delicioso!
The only thing better than listening to his gorgeous voice is to also be able to look at him. Pablo is as handsome as his voice is beautiful; the romantic images on this DVD are guaranteed to send female hearts into overdrive.

Anyone viewing this DVD will hope that Pablo finally accepts a leading role in a Televisa novela. "Hay Otra en Tu Lugar" recalls the melancholy and romantic images of novela title sequences and later episodes that require a box of tissues at hand. You will never hear this song the same way again. "Escandalera" is pure fun (though turn down the brightness control a little when viewing), "Donde Estas Corazon" and the others are beautiful, and the extra photo session is a nice touch. The discography misses his debut CD, as it was on a different label, and the most recent one (released since this DVD).

I absolutely hope there is another collection like this in the works now that Pablo is a couple of years older with a slightly deeper voice and an even handsomer face. Ladies, be prepared to take a VERY cold shower after viewing this DVD and make sure your boyfriends DON'T find it!

Pablo Montero DVD
Great DVD! Pablo is a great talent destined to become greater still. Don't miss this one!

Perfect Murder, Perfect Town
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (27 May, 2003)
MPAA Rating: Unrated
Director: Lawrence Schiller
The murder of six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was tabloid fodder for years, but Perfect Murder, Perfect Town earns respect with its riveting focus on facts. In adapting his own bestselling book with writer Tom Topor, producer-director Lawrence Schiller (who chronicled the O.J. Simpson trial in An American Tragedy) wrangles dozens of characters into a complicated but coherent portrait of justice gone awry. Beginning with the Christmas-night murder in 1996 and spanning 18 months of investigation, this three-hour telefilm shows how sloppy police work, legal loopholes, and political conditions in Boulder, Colorado, made JonBenét's murder virtually unsolvable. Ronny Cox and CSI's Marg Helgenberger play the highly suspect Ramsey parents, steadfastly maintaining an innocent façade; their performances are ripe with ambiguity. Schiller also dramatizes the machinations of a tabloid journalist (Sean Whalen); a religious detective (Kris Kristofferson) hired by the Ramseys; the backstage maneuvering of Boulder's district attorney (Ken Howard); the poorly secured crime scene; and much more. With its semi-documentary approach and first-rate cast, the film covers a lot of territory but it's never confusing or exploitative. And still, the mystery remains. --Jeff Shannon

There Is No Word To Describe It.
Watching this movie last night, I was completely stund. Watching the way her dad found her dead in the basement and carrying her body up the stairs game me nightmares. This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen but it has put such a big effect on me, I dont think I will ever watch it again. This movie shows the truth about what happened but does not tell the truth about who did it. No one will ever know.

Great Presentation of an Unresolved Situation
This made-for-TV film was a strong presentation of the book, adhering closely to details presented therein. Its only let-down is driven by the real-life fact that the case was not solved, and such indefinite endings always leave the viewer feeling somewhat flat.

The undisputed stars of the show were Marg Helgenberger and Ronny Cox as Patsy and John Ramsey. Marg enjoyed what appeared to be a fabulous time chewing the scenery, dancing and playing with her daughter, and exhibiting a full range of theatrical emotion -- while simultaneously, Ronny did an absolutely stupendous job of being dazed and confused, an indecisive executive and wounded father. They were perfect, and I hope they had a great deal of fun making that film. The movie is worth watching just to watch them.

I first saw this film before reading the book, then again after doing so. The film is a very capable adaptation, much more than many others you'll see. Read the book, then watch it again.

And yes, I have an opinion as to who killed JonBenet. If the character's portral in the film was consonant with that person's actual behavior during these events, then I am pretty darned certain who it was.

The Sadist
Released in DVD by Gotham Distribution (21 January, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Arch Jr. Hall
Average review score:

"I will make them suffer as I have sufferd!"
These are the words of a sadist. This Story is actually based on the true crime spree of Charlie Starkweather. If ever a film has shocked me this is the one. Just when you thought is he really going to do that? He does! There is no other film quite like "The SADIST"! I highly recommend this very violent cult classic! I also recommend The Thrill Killers & The Hitch-Hiker.

Un-natural Born Killers...
"The Sadist" is a relentlessly disturbing film. Released in 1963, it had to be absolutely shocking then. Arch Hall jr. plays serial killer Charlie Tibbs. He and his mostly silent, equally psychotic girlfriend Judy have been traveling the countryside, murdering whoever is unlucky enough to cross their path. Three teachers (on their way to a baseball game) are stranded in a salvage yard when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Everything's fine until Tibbs and company enter the scene. From that point on the story spirals out of control! There are many violent parts, many unexpected twists. Very realistic, considering the year it came out and who made it. The director (James Landis) specialized in dorky, teenybopper movies. He definitely left that genre behind with this flick! Arch Hall jr. is a sadistic super-creep. I found myself wanting to knock him in the head! He is unpredictable, crazy, and therefore terrifying. You never know who's going to be executed next. There is a growing sense of dread, desperation, and terror. This is a horror movie. Charlie Tibbs is like so many gruesome headlines today. "The Sadist" holds up well. I was amazed by it's frankness and unflinching portrayal of evil on the loose. Yes, there is a hero, but you're not sure who it will be. I highly recommend this movie...

A Song for You
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (03 September, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Leon Russell
Average review score:

Leon is still the best!
I "grew up" in college, listening to Leon Russell- his albums were so completely wonderful, that I listened to them all the time- probably still have many songs memorized, because he is such a talented songwriter, in addition to being an excellent musician, performer, and singer. "A Song for You" is Leon at his romantic best. Such a beautiful song that there are none that compare--except for some others of Leon's! The song truly can give me goosebumps, listening to his piano trills and his expressive voice. This was brought back for a good reason- and one of the reasons has to be that his music is absolutely timeless, classic- and never fails to reach my heart in a profound way-- he well deserves any and all accolades he gets.

The Ultimate Leon Russell Rockumentary.
Upon it's release in July of 2002, Leon Russell fans were shocked at the horrible quality of this dvd. The entire initial shipment proved to be defective and was recalled after numerous complaints regarding the out of sync audio and picture. I just received the corrected version and was it ever worth the wait. Leon Russell "A Song For You" is a treasure chest of 25 Russell classics that captures the rock legend from early on in his solo career with the shelter people to the present. Leon made available his many hours of rare film archives to the producers of this dvd. You get to hear and see Leon in his young prime belting out "Delta lady", "A Song For You", "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" and his explosive cover of the Stones "Jumping Jack Flash". The dvd also captures an older Russell doing some of his other well known tunes like "Tightrope", "Lady Blue", "Back To The Island" and "Stranger In a Strange Land". There is also a fantastic biographical commentary throughout the dvd. Leon also is captured performing with Willie Nelson and Edgar Winter as well. All twenty-five performances are captured in their entirety and the sound and picture quality is fantastic considering many performances were captured in the early 70's. At 95 minutes long this dvd certainly captures the brilliance of Leon Russell who is and always will be one of the most important figures of the classic rock fraternity[check out his resume]. If you are a Leon Russell fan, I strongly urge you to purchase this musical extravaganza and enjoy the master of space and time like never before.

Spooky House
Released in DVD by Ventura Distribution (28 October, 2003)
MPAA Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Director: William Sachs
Average review score:

A Truly Magic, Heartwarming Film
Produder/Director,William Sachs has crafted a simple storyline and turned it into very charming, funny, and touching tale that is perfect for the whole family.
Ben Kingsley, as Zamboni, "The Spooky Man", turns in a masterful performance in concert with the new, natural, and talented Matt Weinberg as Kingsley's young counterpart and eventual cohort.
Encountering the "bad kids", ably headed by Mercedes Ruehl,
our young group of heroes, lead by Kingsley and Weinberg, send us on a merry chase with magic illusions and a surprise, touching conclusion which wraps up the adventure in a delightful way.
This is a little classic with a big heart that belongs in everyone's video library. And, for once, the price is quite reasonable (for the DVD).

Spooky House is a must see for the entire family!
Spooky House is magical fun for the entire family. Award winning Ben Kingsley as the 'Great Zamboni' is true to form as is award winning Mercedes Ruehl as the campy 'Boss'. The kids are adorable. The music will keep your toes tapping and your kids dancing. A winner!

Spooky House
I thought this was a great family film. Ben Kingsly does a fantastic acting job. The story is very moving and a great view for the children. I would recommend this film to any parent with young kids.

World Revolution
Some of the best musical entertainment you could ever watch! Takanori Nishikawa gives an exciting, upbeat performance. The first DVD is filled with great concert clips, while the second DVD contains backstage footage. The DVDs come with romanji lyrics of the songs performed on the DVDs. Great buy for any music lover! ^_^

Charisma at its best...
Words cannot describe this DVD. The first disc, which consists of 90% concert footage is a spectacular masterpiece of camera work. And the performance itself is unbelievable. Takanori Nishikawa is a born performer, and his music makes you want to jump up and sing and dance.

The 2nd disc, which is 90% backstage and documentary footage shows what a carefree and absolutely charming person he is personally. I love this DVD, and I hope people enjoy it as much as I do.
