Finally ! An Effective, Fun Workout You Can Do in 45 Minutes
David Kirsch's Sound Mind Sound Body Boot Camp DVD is the perfect answer for those who want to get fit, but have "no time" to do it. In 45 minutes and with only two 3 lb. free weights, Mr. Kirsch takes you through a solid series of super effective toning and cardio moves, without ever letting you get bored. His brilliant point of difference from other exercise videos is his encouraging way of reminding you to focus your body, mind and spirit as you are moving. This special emphasis enables you to get maximum results while he moves you through the workout at an enjoyable pace; you never have a chance to think "on no, how many more of these?"!
When you finish, you feel the satisfaction of having completed a great workout, plus you feel what can only be described as a kind of centered, energizing calmness. I actually look forward to working out now!

David Kirsch's Ultimate Fitness Bootcamp is the Ultimate!!
I cannot say enough great things about this workout. David Kirsch has filled a void lacking in other workouts. During the workout it is challenging, invigorating, and never ever dull or boring. You engage your mind, you feel the music and you definetly feel the burn! You'll get to the point where your body and mind becomes the power source it was originally meant to be. After a workout I feel calm, grounded and amazing! I started to see results immediatly. Truly fantastic. Trust me, if you want to fit into those Seven jeans again and look and feel great this is the way to go.

Best Workout I own
I had hit a workout plateau and needed something to give me that extra boost. When I tried the Boot camp workout, I was so relieved that I hadn't wasted my money on another workout video that I wouldn't use. David Kirsch's Ultimate Fitness Boot Camp is by far the best all around workout I own. The music is easy to move to, the setting is fantastic, and the workout is intense. I noticed results within the first week.

If you are looking for the workout to push your routine over the top, this is it. But beware, if you are not an experienced exerciser, this workout may be too much.

The Method: Cardio Boot Camp
Released in DVD by Inspired Corporation (29 October, 2002)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Starring: Tracey Mallet
In this extended version of her Boot Camp workout, the energetic Tracey Mallet and her crew (appropriately attired in military-style clothes) demonstrate a three-part routine that is definitely not for new recruits to exercise. The first workout mixes the chasses and sautés of aerobic dance, a little Tae Kwon Do, and the jumping jacks and push-ups of military basic training. ("Your pain, your gain," she announces during the excruciating second set of push-ups.) Workout 2 begins with some Tai Chi and then alternates kickboxing with hand-weight work. The final routine combines the jumps of the first with the "martial dance" of the second. Mallet has an unflagging enthusiasm and a taste for variety that makes this workout a long way from dull. However, with drums pounding in the background and jumps galore, this 48-minute workout is definitely for the young or the young-at-heart-and-knee-joints. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Not a fan
I bought this video, and did the work out for a few months. I don't really like the way that the sets are layed out. There are several sets, with a cool down after each. One set is too short, and if you want to do two you have to fast forward through the cool down and the warm up to get going again.

My biggest problem with this video is the crazed Aussie instructor. I can put up with almost any aerobics instructor, but she really really grated on me. I have done all kinds of videos, and liked this one probably the least, because mostly of her.

One funny side note. There is a big out of place guy in the back that never keeps up, and is usually dancing to his own beat. That was the hilight of the video for me.

More Like Dance Camp
If your looking for a boot camp like workout, go somewhere else right away. This video uses maybe two or three book camp-ish moves the rest is based mostly on modern dance, tae bo (kickboxing) and tai chi. There are three separate workouts. None of them really give a good cardio or a good toning workout. Put a couple of them together and it's decent, but not great. The middle workout is the only one that uses hand weights. There are several sections that are entirely too slow. Mostly these involve learning a dance sequence or doing tai chi. The music is pretty cool; there are some drummers in the background, and the instructor is annoyingly chirpy. I recommend the Crunch boot camp video instead which gives a better overall workout.

Good intermediate, high-impact workout
This is a good workout for people who know how to stretch, warm-up, and cool down on their own. These workouts have minimal warm-up and stretching, then go right into the meat of the aerobics. Most of the routines are high impact--lots of jumping. Don't buy this if you have any knee trouble. An intermediate exerciser will want to do all 3 workouts back to back to get a good workout. Having 3 independent 15 minute segments makes short workouts convenient. I have 20 aerobic and toning tapes and this style is different, which combats boredom. The movement style variations keep the workout interesting, but if you prefer dance-move workouts or popular music beats, this isn't the tape for you. It's more of a good gym class than a night club. The other reviews accurately describe the video format and contents.
