Fred Hammond: Speak Those Things - POL Chapter 3, Live in Chicago

This joint is SERIOUS ya'll
My brothers and sisters I implore you to purchase this cd and support this dude Fred Hammond. He has blessed me with his music as far back as I can remember. If you are a worshiper this CD is for you. As a singer and musician i have been inspired by his musicians ( especially the bass player Maurice)and RFC. Oh yeah! Shea Norman is awesome too ya'll. It's just a blessing simply put.

This is sick
Whew! Man this DVD is smoking. I mean literally. I've played it so much my DVD player started smoking. Nah, just kidding. This DVD is just the Bizzomb, simply put. For those of you who don't like some of the songs on the CD, buy the DVD. You'll see these songs in a whole new perspective. What you'll probably do is record the DVD to cassette so that you can listen to it in the car. It's that good! Man, I always have and I always will love Fred Hammond's music. This is my favorite artists by far. The man plays, composes, produces, arranges, sings and does it all to the glory of God and the upbuilding of His Kingdom. This DVD had me listening to songs that I didn't even like. The atmosphere was straight up MTV unplugged. The band of course was doing it's THANG!!! The look on Daniel Witherspoon's face while they were playing "That Ain't Nothing" (SMOKING!!!!!) says it all. At the end of "You Are My Life" they do a rendition of "Total Praise" by Richard Smallwood and it works to perfection. You could feel the spirit moving through the building. I really didn't like the song "Great" on the album, but when the band started playing the song, I had to crank up the volume. It was tight! As I said before, there are some songs on the CD that I constantly fast-forward. However, the DVD doesn't allow me to do that, because the atmosphere and experience is so authentic. There's even bonus features and behind-the-scenes looks into Fred's personal life and how he prepares for concerts. If you can't say anything else about Fred, you have to admit that his songs are heartfelt melodies. Nobody in the Gospel industry writes a ballad like Fred Hammond. His lyrics are heartfelt and so inspired by God that it just ministers to you in a special way. Keep doing what you are doing Fred. This DVD will not disappoint even the most critical of fans. All the banging beats and tight music kind of reminded me of the Commission Reunion tour. All the while, Fred is ministering to the hearts of men and women through song. Fred is sick man...real sick. Be Blessed

THE MAN!!
Once again FRED shows why he is the man.The spirit of GOD is all over him.The songs are slammin',and the band is stupid.(Big TOM)what up? Keep it up man.PEACE!

Made him Horney with Class!
I bought the DVD from raggaforce.com, but Amazon has a good price also. After my boyfriend and I stopped dancing to the hot latin beats, he watched the ladies, and then came after me! Ay Carumba! Worth the few dollars for at least 1 hot Latin night.

Adult Barbie Dolls!
Wow, I did not think there was anyone left in the Adult Industry still wanting to create art instead of porno. This DVD has something for everyone. Hot Latin Dance Tracks, gorgeous babes, great editing, and high quality shots. With all the money I waste or so so product, this was worth the money.

fiesta 3 party
i loved the dvd!......great quality, editing and very attractive ladies!....even the music was awesome!...looking forward to the next edition, even my girlfriend loved it so it must be a wonderful edition to everyones dvd library!

Actually I was quite suprised.
Well I was forced to sit down and watch this DVD with my niece while at my brothers house. I was pleasantly suprised. I have one child and Ive learned to kind of tune out while watching childrens videos but still spend quality time with my daughter. (daddy come watch tv with me hehe) I was so impressed with this dvd (yes i watched it!) That I purchased it for my own daughter. Its very well produced and I am looking forward to buying new episodes.

Vol. 1,2,3 June 10, 2003
I have two kids ages 3 and 5, they both love Gina D. I have no problem letting them watch these videos when they ask, they are very positive and put the kids in a good mood.

Vols. 1,2,3
This has been a wonderful video that my kids have really enjoyed. It has really lifted their spirits like nothing else.

c'est excellent!
This is an exciting and wondeful dvd to honor Rai music and its' superstars. Only if I could have been at the concert. If you like the music, seeing them sing with the wild crowd is even more exciting. All the hits that you like are on it!

An opportunity to virtually witenss one of a kind concert!
For those who listened to, or familiar with, the [1, 2, 3 Soleils: Taha, Khaled, Faudel] concert, this DVD offers you the opportunity to witness that concert; maybe not physically, but virtually. I personally wish that some day I can attend similar concerts, and hope that the Rai music will reach great heights in the USA, just like it did in France and Europe; regardless of the language barrier. This concert is definitely one of the most successful concerts in the whole world without exaggeration. Many top-of-the-line musicians and producers from around the globe have participated in making this one great concert, such as Steve Hillage. The "1, 2, 3 Soleils: Taha, Khaled, Faudel" CD is an entry-level to rai, but the DVD definitely is one that you have to add to your collections. It basically shows exactly what was going on in the concert. It also have a bonus titles for after and during the concert chit-chats of the King of Rai, Khaled, and Faudel and Rachid Taha. One surprising guest to these chit-chats is Sting. You'll see him greeting and complimenting Khaled. I now believe that this might have been the same time in which Sting was looking for a Middle Eastern debut in his last Album, Brand New Day. In those days, I think that's how came across Cheb Mami. The only drawback to this DVD, as opposed to what I've anticipated, is that it didn't include all the songs that were song during this concert. However, it included the majority of them.

Ed Sullivan's Rock 'n' Roll Classics, Vol. 3 - The Soul of the Motor City
Released in DVD by Wea Corp (22 July, 2003)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Average review score:

The greatest stars of Motown sing on the "Ed Sullivan Show"
"The Ed Sullivan Show" was an American television institution that was on every Sunday night from 1948 to 1971. For an hour a homely newspaper columnist with awkward gestures and an idiosyncratic way of speaking that everyone in the country could imitate brought an incredible array of entertainment into the living rooms of the nation. Within a single broadcast we would see classical ballet and Broadway showgirls, slapstick comedy and scenes from Shakespeare, and grand opera along with rock 'n' roll. That last one is the focus of "Ed Sullivan's Rock 'n' Roll Classics," the third volume of which focuses on the great stars of Motown and "The Soul of the Motor City."

There are three "episodes" of "Ed Sullivan's Rock 'n' Roll Classics" on this DVD but there is no attempt to come up with thematic differences despite the titles; the Supremes, the Temptations, and the Jackson 5 appear in all three. But these do provide a way of telling you what you get to see and hear on this DVD:

"Motortown Review": Smokey Robinson & the Miralces, "Doggone Right"; The Supremes, "Love is Like an Itching in My Heart"; Diana Ross & The Supremes, "Love Child"; The Jackson 5, "I Wonder Who's Loving Her Now?"; Stevie Wonder, "You've Met Your Match"; and The Temptations, "I'm Going to Make You Love Me."

"The Sweet Sound of Soul": The Supremes, "Come See About Me"; The Jackson 5, "ABC" and "I Want You Back"; James Brown, "Prisoner of Love"; The Righteous Brothers, "Turn On Your Love Light"; The Temptations, "Run Away Child, Running Wild"; and the Four Tops, "Reach Out and I'll Be There."

"Motor City Magic": The Temptations, "Get Ready"; Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, "I Second That Emotion"; Stevie Wonder, "For Once In My Life"; Four Tops, "Reach Out," "Sugar Pie," and "Bernadette"; The Jackson 5, "I Want You Back"; and The Supremes, "In And Out of Love."

The extras for this DVD consist of a trivia track that keeps a constant stream of information flowing across the screen during the songs. The introductions to each song provide a modest sense of music appreciation for the time (e.g., the importance of "Run Away Child, Running Wild" as the advent of social consciousness in Motown). Although Berry Gordy, Jr. is mentioned as the founder of Motown in 1959, it is clearly Smokey Robinson who gets the credit for being a one man hit machine who wrote, produced, performed, and scouted new talent. Given that we are talking the 1960s, well before the birth of the music video and MTV, "The Soul of the Motor City" remains a nice historical artifact for videos of live performances of some of Motown's biggest hits by most of its biggest stars.

Great Rock n' Roll Live
I love this video of the greats of the 60's performing today. It's wonderful to see the music live on, and that the greatest artists of those days are still out there performing and sounding just as wonderful today. Would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the music from that time period, you will enjoy watching it again and again!

The 3 Tenors in Concert 1994 / William Cosel
Released in DVD by Wea/Atlantic (01 July, 1997)
MPAA Rating: NR (Not Rated)
Director: William Cosel
Average review score:

Hollywood Tenors
This is the big one, the greatest and most commercialized three tenors concert. For someone not farmiliar to opera, this is the one too get. it has all the brodway punch mixed with old-style opera in a fun manner which will entertain you to the core. This is one of the last times to hear the three while they were still singing standard opera reperitoire in their increasing Age.
Domingo is in fabulous voice again. To me, he is the clear best in this concert. He gets all the best reperitore and he is in good vocal condition. It is a dark silky voice, darker even then the '90 concert. At 54 he is still able to deliver a knokout version of Vesti la Giubba, which is acted and sung in a most thrilling and convincing manner. His Granada is the best it gets. He sings this song like no other, you will be thrilled as the audience goes crazy throuought the song. Once in a while you will be mystyfied at how he is able too sing so gloriously with his tounge lodged in the back of his throat, but that only adds to his mystique.
Carreras is no longer the tenor he once was, but he makes up for it in passion. His first two songs are both duds as he yells through the prayer from Le Cid and mispronounces his way through "With a Song in My heart." After the first medley, however, he seems ready for buisiness as he gives a knockout tu ca nun chiangne, (despite it being sung at fortissimo). E Lucevan Le Stelle is interesting, but not impressive. He gives a tear-jerking interpretation but his pianissimo at "Discolea dai veli" sounds like a head voice or falsetto whereas if you heard this Aria 10 years ago he would blast away at it. For carreras this concert is of interest as one of the last times he ever sings italian Opera before lightening his reperitoire. I would refer people stunned by this diminished, wobbly carreras to his new Golden years Cd which perserves his career in much better voice.
Pavorotti is in excellent voice. His reperitoire selection is a bit boring though. his Porqouoi Me Revellier is the highlight. Why he sang Ave Maria I will never understand, but whatever. His performance in the medleys in extremely lively and funny showing his full talents. Domingo picks more exciting reperitoire.
The medley is, i think, the highlight in the history of the three tenors. Every song is fresh and exilarating. Domingo in "Those were the Days" was the highlight along with Carreras's characature's in Marchiare.
The encores were amazing, with domingo once again a highlight with his hyjinx.
overall this is the concert for newcomers to the three tenors and opera, as it is a glitzy rout through opera and broadway.

The Three Tenors (Mehta) 1994
Having previously owned this DVD, I ordered three more Concerts (Live). I just purchased my first VIDEO and I felt from the beginning, I had front row seats to the most unbelievable concert I have ever seen! It was magical! All with their own style and magnificent voices was a vision to behold! From the onset, it was obvious, The conductor and all Three Tenors were not only at their best vocally, but along with the audience, you FELT the enjoyment of their singing!!This video is a 'must-have'! I was mesmerized from beginning to end!! Bravo!!!

THE best of The Three Tenor series
I love this DVD!

Performed in Los Angeles in 1994 and of course features Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. Zubin Metha conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The camera angles are well placed, the switching is done appropriately and the editing has resulted in a beautiful production.

What I liked about the overall performance was the obvious magical chemistry that seemed to bind the performers, orchestra and audience from the very beginning. Early on, the singers must have gotten the unmistakable feeling of having the audience in the palm of their hands.

On an individual basis the whole night featured one great performance after the other: each tenor got to show off his unique voice and talent. One got the distinct feeling that a competitive atmosphere started to develop as the tenors seemed to try to outdo one another with each successive piece of music. The result was nothing short of a spectacular evening of entertainment. Who won "the battle of the Tenors" is a purely subjective matter: but I have my own winner (which I'll keep to myself)

It appeared that the best time was had by the conductor Zubin Mehta: how could you not be enjoying yourself conducting a world renown orchestra and three of the worlds greatest opera singers before an enthusiastic and receptive audience. What more would it take to make one happy? Precious little I think!

All and all, a must have DVD for any opera fan. This concert will be remembered for a long time to come and deservedly so.

Pantera: 3 - Vulgar Videos from Hell
Released in DVD by Wea/Elektra Entertainment (12 October, 1999)

THE HOLY GRAIL OF DVD'S!!!!!
Before Jackass, before Tom Green... there was Pantera. The greatest heavy metal band in existance and some pretty funny people. This has got to be the best (and funniest) DVD out there. Not to mention it is about my favorite band: the one and only PANTERA! Did I mention that they were my favorite band? Anyway, this DVD includes all their videos (excluding the ones for Reinventing the Steel. Those will probably be on video #4 which is in the works). Anyway it also includes some good live footage ranging from the old days of doing club tours to the big arena tours. Other than that it is just LOADS and LOADS of home video footage shot backstage and on the road and it has to be some of the funniest stuff I have ever witnessed. Its them breaking things, getting drunk, doing stupid stuff, ect. Its just 4 hours of greatness that will change your life forever. Look for cameos from Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Trent Reznor (one of the funniest parts on the whole thing), Rob Halford, Prong, Alice In Chains, and more metal stars. Other highlights include the whole "fake hand" segment, the whole thing with the stunt dummy, all the footage of them on airplanes, the Japanese tour... hell, the whole thing is great... It even features Twiggy (Marilyn Manson bassist) throwing up. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?!!! The only bad thing about this DVD is that there is no scene selections...... But other than that it is great. This DVD cracks me up every time I watch it. Hopefully video part 4 will have scene selections. Anyway go buy this. and get part 4 when it comes out. I can't wait.

The DVD from the Kings
Well, what can I say? This is what every Pantera fan could ever want. All 3 videos, 4 hours of total Pantera.

Cowboys from Hell: The Videos- The shortest, but 60% of it is all music. Awesome live performance of "The Art of Shredding" and "Heresy"

Vulgar Video- 1 hour long, the FUNNIEST of all 3. Expect to crack up on most parts. It has live clips of "Domination" and "Primal Concrete Sledge"

Watch It Go- 2 full hours of Pantera. Covers footage from 1994 to 1996, but there are no live songs here.

- A real Pantera fan shouldn't be without this DVD. Hail Pantera, the Kings of all that is Metal.

No Surprises Here
The boys in Texas metal power Pantera like to have fun, in the dangerous sort of way. And this collection of personal footage and videos captures that in all its ugliness. While onstage, they may be ultra-serious metal madmen(particualrly fully tattooed singer Phil Anselmo), offstage they are fun-lovin' wild boys, ready to whoop it up - anywhere, anytime, with anyone. That seems to be their creedo and they live by it. Never has so much alcohol been consumed, so many dressing rooms destroyed and so many hundred dollar bills gien away so freely. How they do it is the real treat. One fan at an airport is paid to eat maggots, another is paid backstage to drink a bottle of hot sauce(which of course he cannot do) and let us not think they don't include their employees; a security guard is offered 1000 dollars to eat a gigantic birthday cake that George Foreman himself would have a hard time finishing. And that's only a couple of the many memorable moments herein contained.

Austin 3:16 UNCENSORED
The profanity in this video isn't as bad as you might expect.
Austin does say the F word a couple of times. He does flip birds a lot in this video but other than that, this video is pretty tight. It does have plenty of swearing in it but no more than you see on Monday night Raw. You'll see Austin opening up a can of whoop-... on everyone that gets in his way including: Mike Tyson, Vince McMahon, DX, Dude Love, and few others. If you love Stone Cold Steve Austin and have never seen this video, then you might need to check it out. It's pretty good entertainment. Oh, hell, yeah!!!!

I RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO TO ANY RATTLESNAKE FANS!!
STONE COLD IS THE MAN. ALL OF HIS VIDEO ARE GOOD I GIVE THEM ALL 5 STARS. IF YOU ARE A REAL FAN YOU WILL BUY ALL 3 VIDEOS ANYWAY.THESE VIDEOS INCLUDE STEVE AUSTIN AND ONLY STEVE AUSTIN, THATS WHY I ENJOY THEM SO MUCH."CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO" IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO CAUSE I SAID SO!!!

austin's best video
the best part on this hole tape is when stone cold pushed mike tyson on monday night raw the week before wrestlemania 14,that's classic stone cold.
